Grow Mediums Anthropolis Does Kindsoil Live testing for the CannaZone

Is it update day already? Sure why not lol! All continued great improvement aside from the one. What once was a failboat ride has become a Lazarus mission hah!
---
KindSoil side:
Okay I'm officially calling it on this one, time of death occurred approximately 1830 hours Sept 18th. Cause of death: acute environmental trauma precipitated by improper water and topsoil.
20160918_172925.jpg

Deadjim.jpg

It's going in the trash tomorrow, I don't even want it in my coconut oil. The soil will be trashed too just as a precaution, well, dumped in the woods, nature can have it back haha.
-
On to brighter notes! The pretty KindSoil Blackberry Stone really put on some weight and it's not done yet! Pics barely do it justice. I know the KindSoil guys were making strong arguments against RO water, but seriously my troubles really cleared up fast by ditching my well water and going to RO & distilled.
20160918_172940.jpg

+ the buds are really beautiful, with an interesting structural layout I haven't seen before, kinda a combo of slim and fat calyxes, and just going all kinds of directions, assorted colors too:
20160918_173146.jpg

The Tombstone KindSoil gals are doing great! The trio pot is all getting a mild case of lower yellows, but far enough along now that they'll make great herb no matter what:
20160918_172952.jpg

The single KindSoil Tombstone is really about to steal the show, it is set up now for a very nice yield (for me) and is gorgeous in person. Very leafy with 9-pointers!!: top down:
20160918_172959.jpg

Side:
20160918_173007.jpg

It's shaping up to be one of the best plants I've grown yet!
---
My soil side also very much improved!
Red Poison is actually starting to look like she might yield halfway well:
20160918_173027.jpg

The Cream Mandarine XL is kinda weird, it's got nugs and leaves pointing in strange directions, but finally yield will be okay not amazing but sorta acceptable, trichomes are going crazy though! Full sugar treats!
20160918_173116.jpg

The Blackberry Stones in my soil are doing just fine, could be better but collectively they'll fill a jar well. The lone one is still trying to color up:
20160918_173122.jpg

The trio is kinda twiggy but that's okay. All of this is my first time doing any multi potting, so I still feel okay about it. For the future though, I think 3gal is too small for a trio potting indoor, they really do step on each other's toes.
20160918_173132.jpg

Okay friends that's all for now! It's certainly smelling amazing up in there!

Awesome Barbara Bushes Stepside! Lol!

Update time! I reduced the picture sizes / qualities again, hopefully won't bog down the pages as much. Things looking good, a few are slowwwwly winding down.
-
KindSoil side:
The Blackberry Stone is winding down slowly, but still cranking out fresh pistils and gaining mass. It could technically be ready anytime soon now, but I'm in no hurry to chop except for being ready to taste it!:
20160925_092554.jpg

The trio pot Tombstones still have plenty of time, looking good, they're certainly hungry looking but not necessarily hurting for anything. The KindSoil should take em to harvest okay.:
20160925_092559.jpg

The solo Tombstone rocket is really doing well, it seems to be one that is agreeing with the KindSoil quite nicely. Mildly hungry but no biggie.:

My soil side fairing okay:
Red Poison is winding down and buds looking great.:
20160925_092628.jpg

Cream Mandarine XL looks like a horrible plant but the flowers are really nice though! I sure wish the one in KindSoil had made it, got a feeling I'll be wishing for more once I taste it!:
20160925_092643.jpg

The Blackberry Stones are coming along, still a good bit to go, it seems.:
20160925_092713.jpg

+ the trio is looking very hungry but okay:

That's all for now friends! Peace and love!

UPDATE, Week 14*, KindSoil test for [HASHTAG]#autoflower.net[/HASHTAG]
----

*Clarifications: Went and triple checked my dates, some of the dates got messed up when I copy and merged some of my posts over to my individual KindSoil journal thread. Thought I was on day like 150, incorrect sorry. I chopped the Sweet Seeds and Blackberry Stones a couple days ago on Fri Sep 30th. For the Sweet Seeds that chop day would be day 102 for those. So Week 14 above soil for those. I had to reboot a few pots that were failed, those got repopulated with Blackberry Stones, so chop day 96 for those, or week 13. The Tombstones were the third reboots of more failed pots that were Sweet Seeds. They are still growing, got a couple weeks left I think on those, they're on day 74 or week 10. Good grief, yeah this grow round had lots of issues lol but I made the best of it!

HARVEST ALERT!
:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
Chopped the fat Blackberry Stone in the [HASHTAG]#kindsoil[/HASHTAG] and chopped all the ones in my soil.

KindSoil Blackberry Stone Harvest: this one really came through in the end! Nice mass, tight nugs, insanely dense cola, great terpenes and trichome production. It was looking rough in the beginning, but by harvest time it did do a pretty good service to KindSoil.
Pre-trim:
20160930_111530.jpg

Post trim, about to be cut and hung whole, beautiful nuggetry!:

My soil side harvests: I'll do clicky thumbnails here so it hopefully won't bog down the page with my non KindSoil ladies.

Red Poison: beautiful as always, just eternally one of my favorite strains to grow.

Blackberry Stone trio pot: they kinda had trouble getting along for a while, and didn't produce much but hey, any bud is better than no bud haha!

Everybody cut and hung! Collectively a nice pull considering my nightmarish summer lol! And still 4 KindSoil Tombstones to go!!
20160930_113943.jpg

----
KindSoil Tombstones are still rocking along great! They have a strong case of the yellows now, but it's late enough now that it doesn't matter too much. I'm thinking they have two or three weeks. Sugar production and pistils are on track, and the trio pot is definitely outperforming the trio pot of Blackberry without KindSoil.
(oops it won't accept more pics in this post lol, see next post)

Update, week 15, [HASHTAG]#KindSoil[/HASHTAG] test for [HASHTAG]#autoflower[/HASHTAG].net
---
Hi friends, just a quick check in. Things are rough at the moment, many days without power and the ladies are not happy with it. The Tombstones are looking rough in the leaves but the flowers are looking excellent, so it's a mixed feeling now.

The darkness freaked them out into a major bloom spurt when they should've been winding down. Thus they're full blown deficiencies all through and through. Doing the best I can considering conditions. Actually even though they're not picturesque beauties, the bud looks phenomenal! Temps are low and humidity is sky high, so I'm watching for mold, wouldn't be surprised if I lose a little.

I did almost lose the cola of the big Blackberry Stone beauty, but I caught it just as mold was starting. I quickly cut off, decarbed, and cooked the cola into coconut oil. Stomachs can handle a little bit of mold just fine, it's just the smoking/vaping you never want to do.

Anyway, it ain't the greatest but we be managin mon!

Update Week 16, KindSoil test for [HASHTAG]#autoflower[/HASHTAG].net!
---
We are almost done! The last few KindSoil lady Tombstones are winding down fast now. Most leaves are used up, and they're trying to do a few last minute emergency foxtails. But most pistils are turned, and most trichs are done. Going to trim off the zapped foliage and then have some good hard looks at them, chances are I'm cutting them in the next few days. I'm quite happy with how they turned out actually, the pictures make em look a little sad but the bud nugs are really wonderful looking in person.
-
Big solo Tombstone in KindSoil, oooooey she smells dank.
20161016_105932.jpg

The trio Tombstones in KindSoil, they did pretty good too.
20161016_105950.jpg

Other notes, I've been looking hard trying to identify some phenotype variances, but so far seem pretty uniform. Four plants isn't a good sample anyway, but the buds all look quite alike. There may be one more branchy and one less branchy phenos, but buds appear the same. I might be able to see more differences at harvest or jarring.

All for now friends, peace and love!

Final Update! Week 17 total but the final plants below were reboots thus a few weeks younger. [HASHTAG]#KindSoil[/HASHTAG] test for [HASHTAG]#autoflower[/HASHTAG].net
----
Woohoo we made it! Things were up and down for awhile there, and in the final leg of it, nature dealt us many days of rain, no power, and mucho humidity! So I was really worried about mold with these last ones. (remember my tent is semi-outdoor so I'm at her mercy.)

Thus I had to change from my usual harvest and trim methods, typically I trim on the plant live, then cut and hang whole to dry until jar ready. My anti mold / hardship method is just cut nugs / branches from the plant, trim those to the nugs, and dry out the nugs spread out wide with a fan. This dries quicker and more evenly, giving mold less chance to get a foothold, but some smoothness gets sacrificed. That can usually be remedied with a longer cure.

Good thing I did this because I found a couple small spots of mold in the big girl's dense cola. I cut the mold out, only lost maybe a gram, but I quarantined the nugs around it to dry in a separate paper bag outside the tent. Just checked on all of it and no mold has set in to the remaining nugs! I figured it must be from when the power was out for days, the plants were dark and all dripping from condensation. Bad bad.
-
KindSoil Tombstone trio pot, harvested several days ago and into the jars tonight. They did pretty good, all things considered. Again I couldn't pin down any phenotypes, they all look about the same dried.
20161018_172233.jpg

They were definitely ready, I probably could've cut sooner but I wasn't in a hurry.
+
Here's the yield going to jar! It's more small nugs and buds, just a couple big nugs. If I were to guess I'd say it's just north of a half oz.
20161023_153756.jpg

---
KindSoil big solo Tombstone! This beast... wow, really impressed! Both the solo pot KindSoil stones did really well in terms of mass, density, and scent profile. It's evidence that single plant to pot, like autofems, is the better way to do KindSoil, rather than several to a pot.
20161022_100226.jpg

Definitely cutting time! I'm going to miss this plant actually. I said early on that this plant was on track to possibly be my best yield yet, and I think that's coming true! Maybe it doesn't look like it from the pic, but that entire thing is solid nug.

I started at the top cola and cut it open to trim out into nugs. Glad I did because things were wayyy to dense and damp up inside the cola:
20161022_101235.jpg

That's not molding yet there, it's just some dead mushy leaves about ready to start mold. I did find a couple spots but no major losses. Super dense. I'm not used to that lol. It's gotta be a combo of the new Mars light and the KindSoil.
+
Here's the yield, still a few days from jars, but the nugs are huge and solid! I think it could get close to 3/4 oz.
20161023_154225.jpg

+
Plus a few grams in the quarantine bag because they were near mold, looks safe so far.
20161023_154250.jpg

So there we have it friends!
When the last plant is in the jar, I'll take a jar glamor shot. There's lots to taste test and that'll be awhile.

Going to go through my logs, review and get my thoughts together and then I'll do a full review up in the Showcase. But overall my feelings are pretty good for the product and I think I'm buying more sometime!
