Morning people

Ok couple of questions I've been struggling with

I'm growing DP think diff, a lot of journals I've seen talk about this plant growing past 100 days old, now I know you can get a regular strain cutting, veg it for 2 weeks and flower for 8 or 9 and youre done, which would make it quicker than some autos, and as you switch lights to 12/12 when flowering regular plants you should save a bit on electricity... Any thoughts??

That leads me to the next question;

What would happen to my TD if I flowered with lights 12/12? It vegged as a normal plant would so what difference would it make??

Any thoughts guys?

:smokebuds:Autos are usually run with 18/6 or 20/4 because the flowering cycle isn't triggered by hours of light and dark.You could go 12/12 and they would flower but would lose hours of light that is benificial for optimum growth.

I think that you would lose yield, look at the autos that are grown outside compared to those grown inside. that is one of the advantages of the auto is that the plant can work overtime for you, your power bill may suffer a bit, but it makes up for it in the end:D

Thanks for your input mate , just was wondering as my TD's seemed to veg for around 3 weeks

photos are more efficient but people grow autos for other reasons an extra weeks veg in a photo will make a massive difference. I have had photos tripple in height from going into 12/12
a small yield loss would be expected if shifting straight into 12/12 with td

I have some thnk different going right now. The are coming up on the 11th week. They still have some time for flowering. I've been running the light cycle at 20/4. Out of everything I've read about autoflower's. I think it all depends on the strain. However this is my first auto grow. Everything I know about them is from reading threads from this forum. Im personal opinion though. I think it really depends how your growing it. I have mine growing in soil. So maybe a deep water culture grow would speed up the process. Hmmmm... I think I have a question now, lol. Would it speed the process up if you did a grow with a deep water culture system and or another type of system besides soil? :peace:
