G'day AFN, glad to have found this forum! Been lurking for a while just trying to pick through all the threads lol.

Newish grower, had a crack at some autos last year, made all sorts of mistakes and they ended up stunted as all hell ( think I got roughly 4g dried poor quality). All a learning experience tho. Just dropped some seeds into pots for my attempt this year, learning plenty from just reading the depths of information and experience here! Growing outdoors in soil/pots in SEQ so hopefully I don't munt em this time lol.

Hi Flumblin ! Mate i had 2 stunted from my first 2 grows. It could be from the paper towel method, the roots are very sensitive. Over watering might be another, not sure and a small part maybe genetics maybe also.

I am down your way. The soil might be hot or something, not 100% sure of the stunting.

I am trialing new soil this time, Sealres Organic Potting Mix

OZZZZZZZZZZ is in the house. There is a bit of a learning curve with autos, but they are so much fun to grow. Don't feel bad, my first grow was a disaster on a couple of levels. Good luck.

Welcome to AFN mate! I love growing autos outdoors in the Ozzie sun ....I start all mine inside under cheap cfl lights for the first 2/3 weeks before kicking them outside. I think getting a good start is the key to growing bigger plants for me! What strains are you going to grow this round? Also what kinda potting mix are you going to use? Most of the stuff I use is from either Bunnings or eBay :smoking:....I'm in central Queensland...if I can help with anything just tag me like this @the green bandit

Blues supporter here!!

Good luck buddy I just finished my first grow! Bit of foxtailing but live and learn!

The biggest thing I would say from my setup is that a lot of amazon stuff or garbage!

Cheers Bandit,
Yea I'm running searles organic from good ol bunnings, a former friend gifted me some Strain Hunters Skunk and a couple of Yantra autos ( never heard of them before until he gave em to me ). I'm pretty much in a situation where for this grow at least they will be 100% outdoors, working on some shade as due to my work hours ( 5 - 330 or so ) cant really move em around to catch the sun / shade of a morning. Cheers for the welcome so refreshing to find a forum with open an honest members with vast knowledge being shared
