Indoor And Now For Something Completely Different.

Hope so, got another batch to start when spring hits so I can see if it actually helps or not. Be most likely a year before they flower so this is a long term ongoing project with much thought going into where the hell am I going to keep them as they grow. So next major undertaking is getting dad's little old green house out back up to standard for next winter as well as some plant benches (pallets). Trying to source some 3" or 4" clay pots cheaply for final potting while keeping total cost under $3.00 for singles. Wanna do some grafting for thick caudex's so that'll add to it.

Possum Purple Passion Fruit cuttings
Starting to get roots showing up on the cuttings.

Don't know how big the greenhouse is, but to keep it warmer you can place a couple of 52 gallon drums filled with water inside. They heat up during the day and give of heat during the night.

It's just a 3 x 3 on my front porch at the moment....just knocked it together to over winter my passion fruits and carry the adeniums through....Will start working on the big one out back this spring, it's about 6 x 8 so not big, planning on using the heat mats like in the little one.

Oh ok, then a 54 gallon drum will be to much, but there's load of things you can do to keep the warmth in. The best is to double layer the plastic with some spacer in between so there's air inside. The water vessels, painted black are another.

In small greenhouses such as yours the 24 hour candle under a clay pot heat radiator could be enough to keep it at a certain temperature.

You can also build a heating table...

And fill it up with sand. This will create a large thermal mass... this table is about 4 x 8'

Fresh air
Everything out in the fresh air. Did some sucker cuts on the passionflowers and a few cuttings on the new roses. Getting crowded
