Day 30

The plants are doing ok. There are several burnt tips, canoeing leaves, droopy leaves, and other signs of stress from what I assume can only be environmental and nutrient factors. These are by far the most sensitive plants I've ever worked with. I swear to god the leaves wilt if I look at them wrong.

I'm still around 350 PPM. The T5 HO sits 6 to 8 inches away because the plants freak out when they get any closer. Canopy high temp is 78, low is 70. Humidity is a constant 50%. Res temp is a constant 70 degrees. I'm not seeing a ton of drift in PPM or pH.

Is this a normal looking root structure? (pic taken after dose of Recharge)

I'm not used to my plants looking stressed all the time, and nothing I do seems to help the leaves perk up (light distance, PPM, airflow). I just want this to be over. lol

Hang in there! They look healthy! I would guess that slight curing may be due to how close the light is. How long to did you try raising it for?

Thanks, Prop. The 600w HPS has been at 30" for three days now (max height is 33").

Switching to flower nutes. Plants are looking healthier with the light above 30 inches.

The twins are 31" tall. HPS is 24" away and at max height. I hope they stop growing up soon!

I removed the water pump from the res and the temp no longer exceeds 70°. The dual waterfall and circulation was great, but not worth the heat.

Im following the Captain's 3 part, 2 part, 1 part method for GH nutes. This seems to get me close to the ideal PPM for autoflower.

Swap to an external aquarium pump.
Something like the Maxi Jet MJ 1000 (nice, appropriate name too) can be used outside the rez with an infeed and outlet for a hose.
The water will pick up some temperature still, but significantly less than the sumberged pump will give it.

I am using an Aeros IV Master System and am going to make quite a few changes to it once my last plant has been harvested.
I will be extending the pipes so that I can keep the rez and airpumps outside the tent.
I will be replacing all the black tubing with white to minimise heat absorption from lights and environment - also replacing the clear air lines with white to prevent light getting into the pots..
I will be making the pump external to reduce heat transfer.
I will be coating all the pots with Mylar to reduce heat absorption and give reflectivity for lights back up through the canopy.
