Why would we hate you. We love playing you guys. Isn't there some special song you guys used to like singing at the games? It's been a few years since I can remember hearing it. :twist: Just playin' bro... welcome to the thread.

Rocky Top you'll always be Home sweet home to me!!!
Sorry I had to X ... ha

Haha you love playing us now but back about what 15 years ago for bout 8 years ya'll didn't like playing the Vols!! Unfortunately I gotta go back to those days since they aren't doing shit anymore lol..

Wasn't it like 8 straight against the tide in the late 90's early 2000's, If only they could get back on the main stage again maybe Butch will get us back, definitely not this year but in the next couple, especially if he can keep that #1 recruting class for 2014 we will see...

I didn't get to see the alabama game, but if they're defense was there who cares if the offense doesn't show up considering they can hold most teams to under 14 points and a bad bama offense scores 21 to 28 points lol.. I would venture to say that the Tide will be back again in the national title game again this year.. If they can get past LSU this year ..

From Wikipedia:

There have been several long winning streaks in the series. In the first major streak of the series, Bama won 7 straight over the Vols from 1905 to 1913 (the two teams did not play in 1910 and 1911), outscoring the Vols 112-0 in the process.

Alabama has the longest winning streak of the series, 11 games, from 1971 to 1981. It was broken in 1982 when Johnny Majors led the Vols to an upset victory over Bear Bryant and the Tide.

Alabama had a 9 game unbeaten streak from 1986 to 1994, including a tie in 1993 which was later forfeited due to NCAA sanctions. The streak was broken by Tennessee in 1995 when the Vols beat the Tide 41-14. Tennessee began their own 7 game win streak that night, which was broken when Alabama defeated the Vols 34-14 in 2002. Alabama currently enjoys a 6-game winning streak in the series from 2007 to 2012 with an average margin of victory during this stretch of 21 points.

Gotta get it before you can keep it... :D:

All kidding aside, you guys probably do have your best coach since things started going south and the difference between 1st place in recruiting and 5th place will ultimately come down to coaching. I think you guys will be back in the mix in the East within three years. Hopefully, we won't lose the rivalry to the schedule pressure of having the extra teams in the SEC. :peace:

You know your stuff it seems! SEC guy like myself! I don't see anyone dethroning Alabama or Nick Saban anytime soon that's for sure.. I'm ready to see what Butch Jones can do with a big time school like Tennessee and what he can do in the SEC.. we know now the man can recruit.. I think its crazy how the recruiting rankings differ from site to site ... like rivals we were #1 not two or three weeks ago .. but on 24/7 we are #3 but like you said the difference between a #1 and #5 is coaching all day long.. in all aspects the #1-#5 rankings on recruiting typically are VERY close in talent.. I thought alabama already had a couple 5star recruits??
I highly doubt the Third saturday in october will ever change.. the rivalry will stay alive!!!

I thought alabama already had a couple 5star recruits??
It varies from site to site, like the team ratings. The owner of 24/7 is a Bama alum. So, it may be slightly biased. :twist: Strangely though, a couple of our recruits were/are 5-starts with some of the other recruiting services.

I hope you're right. :peace:

Clemson has had their chance several times in the past few years and if they can make it through the weak ass ACC they may have their chance again. Bama showed some weakness on O line, true enough, but at the end of the day they will "Make their ass quit!". There are very few teams that can hang through 4 quarters just because of the depth. If we make it past A&M the only other challenge on that schedule is LSU and we have quite some time to get ready for that. That is probably the weakest schedule I have ever seen.

Did someone say buckeyes. They are thirsty to get back what was robbed from them last year. One of the best coach in the game.

One of the best coach in the game.
We absolutely love playing Coach Meyer. Plus, UAB has one of the top cardiac care units in America for post game. :twist:

Lol..good clean trash talking. Were talking to late in the season but bucks roll over UAB if played. Buckeyes are thirsty after being stripped of everything last year.
