I just got caught back up this morning, sorry about that X. Yeah, UAB has a few outstanding play makers but as usual they don't have the depth to run with the big boys. That was apparent Saturday night. They did manage to embarrass them a little bit though.

BTW, South Alabama beat Tulane Saturday. :D:

The South Alabama Jags just beat Bobby Petrino and Western Ky... I believe this is the Jags first season as an FBS school... second at most. Joey Jones has really got those guys playing well... I think this is just their 5th year having any football at all.

Saban and Bama threw everything they had at Johhny Football and A&M and it was barely enough... a completely new defensive scheme 4/1/6, specifically implemented to diminish the effectiveness of Johnny Football, and he continued to pull rabbits out of his hat. He constantly goes against the odds, and usally beats them. But, the same thing that makes him special, cost A&M the game when he threw two INT's that resulted in 14 for BAMA. If A&M is on your schedule, be afraid... be very afraid.

BAMA had 11 penalties... most from young guys jumping too soon... I don't know if it was noise or nerves. As a BAMA fan, I would rather BAMA play anybody in the country before playing A&M again, or Oregon. Oregon looks like they have 4 or 5 Manziels sometimes.

Stanford is real good. OH State, Clemson, Georgia, and LSU are good. Florida State may be really good, watch out for UCLA... we may never really know about Louisville with their schedule. Bama and LSU/Clemson and FL State/UCLA, Stanford, Oregon?... all settled on the field... OH State plays... uh, hmmmm... Wisconsin? Michigan? I don't see a one loss team getting in the Natty this year. :peace:

Until this year, I remember Met having one good game... a perfect one against BAMA last year. This year, he's playing like that every time I see him. The game at A&M was like a pig chase... with space-age synthetic lubricants. LOL Nov 9 will be sure 'nuff grown man ball.

We had more "jump" penalties in that game than we have ever had under Saban. I really don't see how the crowd could have caused that but it may have had some thing to do with it (every other year we go to this place where they start drinking at daylight and only catch their true stride at 7pm gametime. They can be pretty loud too, and we haven't had those kind of problems. :D:). But, A&M takes a lot of pride in their home atmosphere, for sure. :peace:

Dude, I tell ya, that was as loud a stadium as I have ever been in. It was deafening. They did everything they could to keep us out of the game. They actually put the band on a separate set of bleachers OUTSIDE the stadium, no shit, as far away from the Visitor section as they could. We couldn't hear the band for nothing and every time we started cheering ALA BAMA the A&M fans would drown it out in seconds. They were prepared to do everything it took to keep us from making any emotional impact. I thought putting the band outside the stadium was a little too much. That was borderline unsportsmanlike.

I hear the A&M fans were very classy throughout... but, the Athletic Dept... not so much.

Yeah man, the fans were very nice. Definitely a different environment than Tuscaloosa, not one douche student in a suit with wayfarers on! That was nice.
