New Grower Amazed at auto flower speed

Howard, where did you get your Charlottes angel seeds?
I'm grow'n several strains of cbd, and wanted to get some Charlottes.
But the prices seem to be quite high for these seeds even when compared on seedfinder.eu.

Hello George, I sourced the "Auto CBD Charlotte's Angel" feminized seeds from Seed City in England. They state that they are only selling seeds for "collecting" of course. I think the seeds are a bit pricey as well but...... As a young man (1970s & 80s) I grew outdoors to enjoy and share, so I'm more comfortable there than in a tent. Now as an old man I'm searching for the right strain/combination of CBD/THC plants for my arthritis. Once I find the strain(s) that work best I'd like to source non-feminized seeds and do an outdoor grow with them.

I've had better success with out door grows so far with regulars than my autos in the 2x4 tent.

I grow for seed (fear of strains becoming corrupt in the future and having my own resourses.
As of last year I've started having issues with some kind of tendonitis ( and I'm only 54).
So my cannatonic regs , ac'dc, and harlequins have worked quite well for me as I hate getting stoned,..just looking for the numb ( you understand).

My latest grow in tent has been Dr.Feelgood from Shortstuff seeds.(70-80 days to harvest & regular autos).
They are very tempremental as a grow, but look promising once you understand their feed preferences.

Looking forward to picking your brain on the Charlottes grow

Thanks all. I guess I should have shared a bit more info when I posted this so here goes. Four plants (3 "CBD Charlotte's Angel Auto" and 1 "Auto Tangerine") each in a 5 gallon fabric pot. Soil only grow using Fox Farms Ocean & Forest with a starter "core" of Fox Farms "Happy Frog". The four pots are centered in a 4X8 grow tent under a "MIGRO 400+" light set on a 20 on, 4 off cycle. One of the "Charlotte's Angel" started showing N deficiency signs (Yellow tips on older leaves, increasing all-over "lime color") at about 38 days. I was slow to pick up on the N as cause thinking I might have a watering issue or pH, since the other three were fine. I gave that one a shot of tomato fertilizer (It's what I had on hand) two days ago and it is greening back up. Onward!! Here's a pic of the one needing fert.

Day 60 since seed on the Auto Tangerine. Tonight it got its first haircut and I'll leave the lower buds a bit longer until I see as much amber on them as the colas I took tonight. The Auto Charlottes Angel plant still has a way to go. More to come, including dry weights. Here's pics before and after the haircut. There's still quite a bit to ripen

I like the speed of most of the auto strains I have grown but weight is hit or miss even when growing two plants of same strain for me. My first and only successful photo plant last Summer grew with little regard for nutrients or care other than stress training to keep it below 6 foot and heavy defoliation near the end.

I liked getting a pound of buds from one plant even after losing some of it to constant rain at the end. I have some photoperiod fast flowering seeds I plan on planting next Spring for a small outdoor grow. I only use grow lights and tents for starting my Spring grow do to adverse climate with June frost and October snows. Basically, a three month growing season.

With the autos I can grow numerous strains to see what I like. If I don't like a strain for smoking it gets processed into hash or cannaoil for making edibles. I prefer edibles for an intense high, hash for an instant high. I've found sometimes an auto smoked affects me not at all smoking as flower, but as hash or edibles it is mind blowing. My tolerance may have changed due to smoking daily for a year and a half instead of just occasional monthly toking.

If this makes sense. I was out of the marijuana usage for 22 years.
