New Grower Am I doing OK? End of day 19, first grow, sweet mango

You can buy a 300 watt generic grow light on ebay just as cheap if not cheaper then a 600 watt bulb ballast cooling hood. I have a 300 watt led grow light I got off of e bay cheap and it works really good

I bought what was advertised at 400 W but has an actual draw of 180W. I liked it so well I bought another that is a 600 W. Get what you can and don't sweat it.

@Cowboy None taken :D Well probably for this grow I won't be changing too much when it comes to light.(I'm a student so as you could guess money can be a problem sometimes but I'll invest as much in lights as possible, and I really appreciate the advice!) As I get more advanced I would like to get a set-up that uses every single type of light out there (maybe depending on stage of life or all at the same time). Really I want to get crazy experimental with my set-up in the end. I'm just somebody who's like: if somebody tells me a million times I shouldn't do something or something is a mistake, if I don't make that mistake I will never fully understand why it's wrong. And being a little creative with something generally seen as bad might just make it work. Just a little life philosophy I've acquired over the years. :D

Ps.: I'm really tired and I don't even know what I'm saying is making any sense right now. xD

Ok, basically I'm seeing a lot of stuff about upgrading my lights right now.
Gonna be doing a bunch of research when I'm a little less tired.
And I'll give you guys an update when I've figured this out.

MANY THANKS!

I just re read what I said I sound like a fucking ass. That's not what I meant, I wrote that last night fast. I would smoke your bud anyday over some fucking dealer. Peace man. Again sorry if my sarcasm was misinterpreted for snydeness.

EDIT - Just read your your cool with it. You realised I was talking shit. :slaps:

Ok I'm going to post something really quick my pistils are browning and shrinking?
I'm now seeing that my leaves are extremely dark could it be that too much nitrogen is killing them?

Still isn't flowering either that's why I figured this must be the problem?

It looks like a bushy plant period. Like my northern hog in my sig. It just wont stretch. But I think its just going to take longer then other autos. Some do. But those browning pistils?? Cant really see in the pic..

OK so I've decided on the lights.

What I'm going to do for this grow is leave it the way it is right now.
BUT if I am able to get to IKEA to get an extra lamp holder I will add another cfl.

the next upgrade I'm doing will be LED and I'm thinking of buying these:
http://www.benl.ebay.be/itm/2PCs-VI...Bottle_Warmers_Coolers_LE&hash=item2c916282ec
which will mean I'll be using 2x 135 Watt led + 150 Watt CFL 2700K + 45 Watt 6500 K = 465 Watt's of light + if I buy more CFL's it will be 500 Watt's and up.

After that I'll start saving for HID, HPS, etc.. so I'll add that too but later on.

Why I'm doing it like this?

Lights that generate too much heat will acquire me to invest in stuff to cool my closet and costs will increase into ranges I will not be able to pay. leaving me with lamps etc.. that I will not be able to use until I have everything I need. I think this is the smarter move of gradually upping my game. + I really want to have LED's right now so when I add HPS or HID or anything else which get's hot I will be able to use my cfl's and led's as side lights, this so that I can work out a system to keep the hot lights on top and create an air stream that'll keep them cool without cooling my entire growroom. and so that the warmth of the LED's and CFL's will warm-up my room onto a steady 26°C.

UPDATE!

- I have been working on my closet a lot I now am extracting air out of my closet with 1 fan and moving air in to my closet with another.
+ 2 holes just in case
(This used to be 1 extracting + 1 blowing onto my plant and just 1 hole to make fresh air come in without a fan)
- I added a humidity/temperature meter:
readings so far:
- Temperature is going up and down between 24°C and 27°C
- Humidity goes up and down between 44% and 55%
- Added a digital timer and my set-up now switches on/off 18/6 which I'll switch to 20/4 when growing stops and she goes into full flower.

here are some pictures of what she looks like right now! BTW she finally started stretching!
