New Grower Alijay's Auto Grow

Hello guys,

I'm new to this forum, and I'm very happy to join to community.

Recently I started my first grow.
Seeds: Bubble Gum Fast
150W light All Mix Soil. They are planted on 20 L Pot (I know huge I only realize it after 1 week they were growing). Something will definitely change on the next ones.

This two were growing amazing, until 2 days ago.

I only fed them water, and today I added Around 1 L of water with Bio Grow 1/4 of the recommend dosage since they are AF and also a Bit of Bacto Hemp. Also a 1/4 of the dosage recommenced on the package since it's an AF In order to strengthen the roots (Since I had no Root Juice from Biobizz).

Two days ago this two were very strong and looking amazing.
I noticed that all the leaves started to hang down and the plant looks weak.

I read about over watering but seems strange because The soil was completely dry, I always wait for it to dry on the surfaced a bit more so I don't over water them.

The plants were germinated and I put them in the soil on 5 of April. they entered their 3 week now, and I decided to start Bio Grow and BactoHemp (Just this one time, since I want to grow them organically). Before they go to sleep.

They have 18/6 Light schedule.

Also for now they have no ventilation but they were strong till 2 days ago.
I thought it could be related to that.
Please let me know your feedbacks, and how I can save this two in order to progress with the grow process.

Plant one: Seems better then the second one ( at the start this one as weaker all the time always growing slower 1day difference between eachother) This one catch up know and seems better then the other.

2 days ago this two were very strong and looking amazing.

How old are they and wat was ph and ppm/ec and wat medium is it .

I use Biobizz All Mix soil.

Unfortunately My grow is low budget I can't control Ph, But I leave my water for 48 Hours before I pour it on plants. I been using same water since germination and never been an issue.

Also I update the Post.

They are 17 days old.

Imho the cheap eBay ec/ppm meter and ph meters are like 15 for both its really worth it bc as I've found my tap water can be 6.5 up to 7.5ph I've also found ppm change not drastic but 100 to 200ppm, now in early stages they only need 150ppm to 250ppm right around now they start to really feed 300ppm plus the only issue I would say is I've never used that soil but I bet it should have enough nutes in it to do most of the feeding. Another big tip for watering ur pots, bc they are so big u Must do the lift test it's very important to not let the soil stay wet with that being said u also don't want it to dry out either that is a very key piece as the water in soils ph rise or drop ect which makes plant unable to pull all the types of nutes it needs. Another thing is make sure ur temps are as close to 80 as u can with lights on and 70 off. Post pics when u can I love giving back to the community.

Thank you so much for you help Fitzy. I will Post Picture very soon, Waiting 2 hours so I can turn the lights on. And will show you how they look after their sleep.

I will look for the tools you spoke about and make sure I can improve that. This is my first grow and still need improvement but I want to keep it simple.

What I find odd is from one day to anther they development really slowed and they look weak. Also they show no signs of sickness apart from being very soft and hanging down.

@Alijay I wouldn't worry too much hun. It's your first grow so your bound to be uneasy but just sit back and watch her grow! My first few years growing were with biobizz and allmix so it's a great easy way to start! You're on the right track!

Seedlings going through veg always seem to grow dreadfully slow. The first two weeks always have explosive growth as the plant is coming alive. Right now your plant is doing the majority of it's work underneath the soil. Give it a week or two and once the roots stretch out you'll see growth above ground again.

Personally I didn't use any meters when growing organic with biobizz the soil buffers the pH and I don't really see the point in measuring ppm. I give quarter, half, 3/4 full doses! Imo ppm is only valuable when growing hydro.

In regards to growing with no ventilation, I've been there, just watch your temps.

Continue doing what you are doing, don't panic, only water when dry and sit back and enjoy the show!

Hello @Mary Djayne, Thank you so much for writing me back.

Yeah first grow, I'm very excited to see the results and follow their growtha and better understand how everything works.

I had a question regarding the Nutrients Schedule since you used Biobizz in the past.
Today they had their first feed, BactoHemp ( To strengthen the roots since I had no Roots Juice from Biobizz) And I used 1/4ml for a Literals of Water and gave around 0.75L to each plant today.

When should I feed it again.

Also, I been reading a lot about Topping Autoflower plants and LST. What's your advice?

LST on the end of the 3rd week would be ok, or should I wait for the 4rd weed?

I kept my biobizz grow really simple. I only used grow, bloom, top max and epsom salts. My advice to you is to use 1/2 or even 1/4 strength of whatever they tell you on the bottle. I wouldn't feed again until they need more water. Judging from the size of the pot and the size of the plant, probably next week.

As for topping and LST, I'm mean to my girls! I discipline them hard! I always top and due to my history of closet grows, I can't help but to train them low and wide! I say always top. As for LST, do as much or as little as you feel like without battering them too much. Saying that there have been many times I've LST'd so hard and broken a branch. Just prop it up and hope for the best 9/10, if there's a good enough connection, it will repair itself.

I usually top in week 3/4 after the 4th growth node. I then LST when the plant has recovered from the initial topping. After the initial shock, she's usually game for anything!

So for topping I should do it in the next few days correct since the fourth node is showing up. Maybe wait few more days?

And after they recover LST? I apologize for many questions, first grow, afraid to ruin it.

As for water I believe I will not feed them until next week, and will only water if feel they really need it right?

I'd give them another week at least. You don't want to rush it and stunt them. Check their progress at the weekend if not then this time next week should be good. Growth is a little slower in soil so they don't recover that fast from being stunted as they do in hydro. After you top, wait about a week and then LST.

I fed with every water and watered about once a week in veg to every other day at the peak of flowering, depending on how dry the soil was. If it was dry to my knuckle, I water.

Don't be afraid to ask questions! We all learn somehow and this is a very friendly place to learn. Just keep it simple.
