RSV1, If you can hold your hand palm down under the light and it doesn't burn you and you could leave your hand there all day then it doesn't matter if the light is an inch away from the top of the plants...
I keep my lights as close as I can get them without it being hot enough to wilt or burn the plants...
well put NC!
I was tryin to figure out how to say that best... well put... and by that ruling you could increase arflow close around the lights to make it so you can get closer... keeping in mind that inverse square law:
@NC420
@JM.....now i get it...was worried that the JEM were so slow to grow maybe i was doing something to hold them back...but the light not the prob,maybe just their way of growing..i must've gotten spoild by the PBD.

They will start growing faster any time now, Some strains are slow starters...
All of the JEM's that I've grown start slowly but they usually start growing almost before your eyes after about 2 weeks, When you see that the plants are starting on their third node that's when they're starting to explode...
Yeah, I don't want to mislead you RSV1 but say you are starting 10 plants then you'll want to have the light high enough that all of the plants get direct light... You can check out JM's post of the inverse square law to better understand how your light needs to be...
Hope this helps you man...
