Yes, somewhat to my surprise. Although I have to say, I've usually been rewarded by being patient with plants that start slow or near death. Many other growers would of have tossed these all long ago. But I like to see what comes. Of course .... I was pretty much out of Zamnesia seeds but really wanted to stay in the Grow Contest.
These photos are at day 22 of 12/12 light cycle. We are seeing some decent flower development. Both plants are virtually identical in shape, structure, height (each 35"). Here is the competition plant (Green):
And here is her slightly older sister, the plant with the yellow banded grow bag:
Oh, and let me now forget the wayward plant that refused to die. She's actually doing pretty well. Still in veg. light cycle at 87 days:
Here is my little straggler. 4 days about I decided to move her outside, and thus that will start the clock ticking on transitioning into flower mode.
She needed a bit of help to handle the winds blowing off the water, so I installed some Atlas Plant Trainer stakes. At this point she is 106 days since sprouting.
Its now 42 days into flower mode for my two primary AK-420s. They've both added between 10-15% of additional stretch. Here are front-facing and then downward photos, first of the Green-banded competition plant, then of the yellow-band plant.
Its day 116 for the competition plant. 55 days on the 12/12 cycle. Flower development progressing nicely. Today she got a couple of liters of Dense. Normal feed program of Greenleaf's nutrients (MegaCrop, etc) is now suspended.
Her older sister in the yellow-banded pot is doing equally well.
Its now day 130 for the competition plant, and day 134 for her older sister. Both are at 69 days on the 12/12 cycle, and both are ready for harvest. Unfortunately, they're going to have to wait a week or so due to other harvesting commitments. Here' s a quick pic of them in the tent. First 4 photos are of the competition plant, then one of her yellow-banded pot companion.
Chopped the oldest of my AK-420s today. She was 136 days (71 in flower mode) and 37" (94 cm) in height. :smoking: Sweet gal, fun to grow. Heavy bud clusters flopping all over.
And now its harvest time for the competition plant. Final height was 36.5" (92.7 cm). Timeline was 135 days of which 74 days were in bloom light cycle.
