Hey ripster. Here's a pic of the 3.4 gallon pot.

The bottom is hard plastic. I have a handful of rubbermaid bins and lunch trays laying around that I place under the pots when watering. I pour runoff into a cup to check pH.

I would think using that size Air-pot would probably be about the equivalent of growing in a 5 gallon bucket. Your line of thinking is the same as mine with the 0.3 gallons. I would think that the 3.4 gallon would allow for some pretty decent size photo plants. The two plants I currently have growing in the 1.5 gallon Air-pots are almost twice size as the ones I grew in 3 gallon pots, and they each have about a month and a half to go. I'm blown away by them. Can't wait to do a bunch of starts for the veggie garden in them!

Perfect KS, thanks for the info...+rep my man...Well, I have to spread the love I guess, sorry.

I would agree that if you had to do 30 of them, your watering time would be upped significantly. Guess that's the trade-off - increased watering time for bigger, healthier plants in smaller pots. I should also add that I've never grown in Smart pots or grow bags, so I can't compare them with those.

Hell, that kinda sucks for me. It takes me well over an hour to water, test r/o, and stuff on my 5 plants now...But I am fairly anal about watering though....

I hear ya,last night was well over an hour to water my 6 and they were in smartpots-anal meet super anal lol!

I'm not giving mine away or nothing. I think they would be great for starting clones or seeds you planned on transplanting, in the 3L size.

Well, I've made up my mind. I'll have my local grow shop order me about 5 of them...

Thanks for the feedback,I got them at a local hydro store for ten bucks 3.4 gal.I will post some info and pictures but im waiting for my current grow to finish, about 2 weeks.I'll only have 5 pots so watering won't be a problem.I still haven't decided what autos to grow .I was thinking about ak47, auto lemon haze,or creme carmel.too many to chose from.Oh i also got a bag of ffof and i just started running my knew homemade light,37,440 lumens cfl.16 100 watt 2700k and 4 200 watt 6500k.

Airpots or smart pots rock. Would not even consider using anything else. Watering is easy...you will see water come out of the holes but don't worry just water slow. Heres a pic of a 3 gallon airpot taken apart after harvest. Notice you don't see any roots because they were air pruned and the growth happened along the root structure inside.
