Comon the pots cost 10 dollars you're gonna go through this whole hassle only to saves a few dollars? o_O

so you want me to throw out some brand new pots just to go buy airpots ? value for money matters for me.il drill holes in these pots i have.in a year or so il go buy airpots.

Indeed, went delirious and drilled a 20 l bucket to near death plus a few enhancements to prevent run off through the side holes...... Just for the hell of it. 20 l airpots are not just 10 usd, whereas a 20 l sturdy bucket is 3 usd plus the fun of making a side run-off free version. And it has a homemade 20 cm circular airdome too....sitting triumphantly at the bottom..... At least I think so!

Because of all the hype on here I've bought four 10ltr airpots for my next grow. Looking forward to using them.

Drilling pots full of holes will not work like an Airpot, Airpots have little reservoirs in them (they are the indentations on the inside). A pot full of holes is exactly that, a pot full of holes.

Airpots aren't magic and they aren't going to compensate for mistakes or ineptitude, they just work...but so do lots
of other things....

They stop root bind, they drain well and dry out well, they keep the bottom of the soil out of the run-off

that's about it.

Having said that though, I love mine :)

...and they Air prune, there actual purpose. Lol

How about if you insert silicone airline in the holes, 2-3 cm, cut at a 45 degree angle to prevent run-off through the airline?
