I really need help guys. Both batches of clones I have taken so far have died in my aero setup. They last around a week to a week in a half with a few dying in-between and then them all dying.

I'll take you step by step through what I did....

-Take clones(all between 5-7")
- dip them in clonex
-throw them in DIY aero cloner(5 gallon bucket with 12sites, 300gph pump running up through a T of pvc which comes up through 4 360°sprayers(also has 1 hole for the power cord from the pump.
-added an air stone because someone recommended it when I was researching but the first batch I didn't use
-added the top of a cake holder to the top of the 5 gallon to help with humidity(alot of people said I didn't have to do this but I did it anyways)
-no nutes, ph to around 5-5.8(pH goes up and is normally like 6.5-7 when I go to change pH again. Sometimes over night.
-changed water in res after about 5 days to a week

They stay green and perky for a long time and then the bottom of the stems get mooshy and then they all die.

I've never had this issue with cloning as I've always cloned using rockwools with about 95 percent success rate. Now I'm at 0 percent with this aero cloner and I set myself back around a month in a half and at least 8 ounces.

This is very frustrating and I would like some people's help!

Are you seeing root growth before they die? Sounds like damping off too much moisture- maybe the sprayers are coming on too much.
I have no experience of aeroponics at all maybe some of these hydro dudes can help

No root growth at all. I keep the sprayers running 24/7. Some people have said to have it on a timer and others say keep it on always

Pictures of your system would be helpful.

Your PH swings are too drastic. Your stems are getting wet too far up. They need to stay dry just below the closed cell holding foam. You may have a bacterial infection in your system. clean it well with bleach and start over using new foam. I always started clones with stems in water/root stimulant in a humidity dome (mist a few times a day) until it had root hairs before putting them into the aeroponics system. I had more failures with aeroponics than any other form of hydroponics.

I guess I'm just unsure why keeping it running 24/7 is an issue when many people have said that is how to do it.

I always thought you wanted the sprayers to hit the stems continuously.

Edit: I'm not using aeroponics for my main grow method. I'm just trying to get longer roots for my perpetual hempy SOG. Basically the longer the roots are when they get thrown into flower the better my nugs will be since I'm throwing them straight into flower .This past time with my 7 sticks in my journal I had to Veg a while cause the roots weren't long enough so I'm trying to cut that out completely so I can have a continuous flower room.

I've never tried to cultivate clones this way but have tried aero supplimentry with dwc.

Thinking it through I don't believe it is a good way to start as the stem will always be wet and run off any gel or powder

I think you need to get them to shoot roots before you put in your aero tub, then you might see some results

Also if I'm looking at it right..

Looks like you have your cuttings in blue foam wedges? TBH can't see that helping your cause, maybe go back to wool cubes? Just don't let them get to wet.

Could be wrong bro, just observations

Flowering cuttings also do not clone well in my experience

Never tried a true aero cloner, but I ran a bubble cloner (dwc), for years, with about a 90% success rate. No rooting gel, just a 45 degree cut across a node, and suspended 1/4" above straight tap water, chlorine and all. 1/4" soaker hose, for plenty of air. No PH adjustment (no roots, no need), a single low watt cfl bulb about a foot above the cloner. I kept the water temp a consistent 75f, with a small aquarium heater. When I saw roots a half inch long, I'd add 1ml per gallon of GH Flora bloom. Root explosion!
If you aren't totally set on the aero cloner, the bubbler works very well indeed, with much less to fiddle with, or go wrong.
Best of luck. Figuring out why clones won't take can make you old, but I wouldn't clone any other way, at least for plants going in to hydro.

Forgot to stress lighting. Dim is good. I believe the CFL's I used were 13w, and hung bare about a foot up. Too much light, and they just won't root. No humidity dome needed, as long as you are using a water cloning method.
Hope some part of this helps.
