This is my third go with this aeroflo-18 and this time things are starting great. Having had , in the past three grows temperature problems, pythium problems, mag and calcium deficiencies, nitrogen toxicity, etc., I'm very happy with progress.

grow media: Aeroponic - GH Aeroflot-18

Lighting 2 CLW Solar Storm 440 LED

germinated 5 massive midget and 3 Candy Kush. Dropped seeds in shot glasses filled with RO water and after 48 hours, all popped and went into rapid rooter plugs. One extra candy Cush seed I started 3 days later as a backup for one that I wasn't sure would do well.

So here's where we are at day 17. (Yesterday). The 5 massive midgets in the front of the picture are developing significantly more rapidly than the candy Kush but the CK seem to be picking up momentum.

Ph has been steady at 5.8.
Plants went into the aeroponic unit at 8 days. Started with 2ml hydroguard and 2ml cal-mag in RO water with 7ppm dissolved solids. No nutes. On day 10 started nutes with GH flora nova 2ml per gallon (13 gallon).

Day 15 added 2ml per gallon GH FloraNova to bring it to 4ml per gallon and ppm overall at 790.

Sounds cool, never follow an aeroponic grow before. How often do they get sprayed?
ive got some candy kush going at the minute too lovely smelling strain.

In this system, the roots are constantly being misted with highly oxygenated water. The water flows backdown the tones to the reservoir to be pumped back through again. When dialed in, it is arguably the most productive system. The downside is that it requires some very regular care. If check everything a minimum of twice a day.

I haven't got the most out of this system yet but here is what last grow looked like with about 30 days to go. It was 5 plants but most of what is visible in the picture are two fast and vast that were quite large despite early problems. One had a stem an inch thick. It was like a small tree trunk.

Do you leve your mist sprayers 24/7

I do leave it on 24/7. Doesn't use much electricity to give them a constant supply of what they need. Slightly higher electric cost with significantly faster growth.

Thanks for that as I was looking at areoflow on ebay so on day 8 you into the areoflow and leave sprayers on is that right and you change res every 5day or 7day?

You put them into the net pots and fire it up once the roots start coming through the net pots. I use the Lucas formula (strategy, actually) with the FLORANOVA option. It was dead simple and requires very few res changes. Saves a lot in nutrients and simplifies the process considerably. 8ml of FLORANOVA per gallon RO water. That's it. Tweak it from there. :)

It is a really nice smelling strain. I had very high hopes for it until the f&v choked it out. It still yielded nice smoke, though. I won't pass final judgment on it until I get a really solid cycle out of it. Maybe this time. I have to say I'm pretty stoked over heavyweight genetics right now. One of the three f&v fox tailed to the point it's all going to edibles but the other two were monsters and these MM's are a good 25 percent bigger/more robust than the CK.
