hi all new to this and am trying to get my head round nutes and how it all works..

can i mix different brands nutes?? is there some that shouldnt be mixed

what are the other branded alternatives?

cannacure, rhizotonic what would be AN equivalent

anyone use diamond nector?

what is the alternative for these

green sensation and sugar royal.. are they similar to canna boost dutch explode??

this will be my first go at all of this so any information would be much apreciated ive narrowed a few things down and am ready to go will have a diary to follow just want to finalise the nutes..

Rhizotonic is similar to vodoo juice.
Sugar royal and carboload is similar - go with molasses, it's cheaper.

Each brand has their own "secret" formula, but I think they're very similar.

so what are the basics throughout the cycle? i understand npk but additives??
so germinate wait for tap root place in pot.. so what nutes at that point any root stim or mykos?
sprouting - first few leaves lets say 10cm in height keep under t5? can they then go under mh when
a few leaves appear? any nutes in that stage? once mh is on i take it they can start to take a bit
more nutes and other additives.. so during veg what am i aiming for.. like what nutes?? rooty mass, stalk, root cleaning?
and then flower sugary? bud blooming??

I think if you're new to nutes and schedules, keeping it simple is probably your best bet. I've had great results with just base nutes and a bloom booster - although a normal lineup for me would be a root stim, base nutes, bloom booster and PK additive.

I've not used AN nutes, but luckily TaNg has made a lovely eco schedule to get good results from minimal nutes. (you can read his threads if you don't know him - he's a very solid grower)

TaNgs Eco Feeding Schedule

Heres a nice easy feeding schedule with very few ingredients that can grow big plants...... all you will need is a good light soil mix,I've developed this with Plagron Light so that's what I would suggest, a reasonable water supply, mine is PH7.4 and EC 0.4 most tap water will be around this range and the nutrients.

Base nutrients are Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom A&B then for bloom AN Carboload and Overdrive. Two of the test subjects were grown simply with these ingredients but the third needed extra Calmag so that's advisable to have. The nutrients are PH perfect so no need to check or adjust PH, I don't even adjust the starting 10 days water or the final flush water,it goes in at 7.4.


Days 1-10

Water.

Days 10-20

Sensi Bloom A&B at 1ml per 1L (of both A&B)

Days 20-30

Sensi Bloom A&B at 1.5ml per L

Days 30-40

Sensi Bloom A&B at 2ml per L.

Days 40-45

Sensi Bloom A&B at 2ml per L.
Carboload at 1ml per L.

Days 45-60

Sensi Bloom A&B at 2ml per L.
Carboload at 1ml per L.
Overdrive at 1ml per L.

Days 60-70

Water.

I've based this on a 70 day grow but if your plant takes longer or are photoperiods just extend the Overdrive phase. Non of the plants I used this schedule on had a 'mid grow flush' which makes this method even easier.

For fine tuning watch the leaves,if the tips burn, back off the base nutrients slightly or if the leaves start to pale then increase the base nutrients slightly.

Calmag can be added at 1ml per 1L all the time you feed Sensi bloom or if and when you see a deficiency.

That will get you some good results and save some confusion

i am gonna do a trial run with @TaNg schedule
but ive also got some old timers grow and bloom and root stim..
ive got some great white and some hygrozyme could/shall i use them while they are gemrinating/sprouting?
ive seen someone on a forum use rhizotonic on its own then rhizo and great white and the difference was immense
i could find the link in my history its on another forum site i believe..
so when you say bloom booster and pk additives..? what are you using your whole feed? what 'brand' are you with?
can you mix and match? im thinkin for my alternative one

so with tangs schedule he feeds lil and often?? 1l per plant per day rough??
b52 and bud candy.. what are they?? any good?
i see on tangs other feed he uses more AN b52, bud factor x, sensizym, rhino skin and also
does the grow and bloom of the nutes not just bloom... so.. i was gonna eventually try
just bloom just grow and then both but keep all the other factors the same the hardest is goin
to be the seed stock in theory because im not doin photo and clones surely each seed is 'unique'
i am also doin a small photoperiod but my main allocated space is gonna be autos.. im lookin..
at @FastBuds and @DutchPassionTony ive got a couple of @Barneys Farm pine express and nyc diesel
but was gonna do my main space on fast buds and dutch passion.. yet to decide on what ones to get
i've narrowed down a lil list of ones ill be gettin dutch think diff, blueberry, brooklyn, daiquiri, night queen,
and the fast buds well to be honest ill be doing all of them i just dunno what ones to start on maybe the
lsd and green crack.. im thinkin 4-6 in a 1.2m area... or stick with four to a light..?
the photo seeds im gettin are gonna be humboldt em dog.. barneys either tangerine dream or
pineapple chunk and dutch orange hill special and ive got a seperate lil space for that... thats another
experiment that i would like to undertake.. i am a first timer with every aspect of it apart from
the inhalation but am willling to put time and love into research and application to improving the quality of my smoke..

I've never used white shark, so not sure about that. I'll always use rhizotonic in my grows.

I use the canna lineup and have for a while. I used Canna CocoA&B for base nutes. (throughout the whole grow).
For bloom booster is use Canna Boost, and for a PK additive i use Dutch Pro Explode.

The PK booster if used in the right amounts at the right time can significantly boost the yeild (i've noticed fatter firmer buds). The reason i don't use Canna PK13/14 is that i find the instructions too confusiong and the eindow of opportuity too small.

I use a PK booster when the buds are formed .. but not quite joined up on the stem and will continue use until the last 2 weeks (which should be plain water).
For dosage of dutch pro explode, i use it at half the strength of the boost that i'm using (e.g if 2ml per liter Boost = 1ml per litre of explode - this is a very "general" way to do it). Overdosing can really "crisp up" your plant in a bad way. So best go in gentle until you have it dialed it.

Leaf tip burn means too strong, so back down next feeds rather than carrying on nuting

That's it in a nutshell!

Can't speak for any other nutes or systems ... but if you follow the TaNg schedule, i'd just buy what he uses - it's not expensive in relation to the results you'll get if you follow the guide

honestly helps amazingly.. so your feeds are they daily or every other day?? so coco a&b can that be used in soil/batmix?? ive got a few litres of that aswell.. think 5l of each.. all of my medium for the time being is batmix.. got a couple bags of light mix left but was gonna just use that as my seedling start cup.. im thinking of doing @TaNg schedule except with connoisseur bloom, part a is 4.9-0-3.6 and part b is 1.8-5.1-6.4 also got a the micro, grow, bloom AN many thanks for your replys @blue and you @KonopCh as and when everything is in place i will let you know how i get on...

how many pots would be adviseable in a 1.2 x 2.4 using 12ltr airpots with 2 600w hid cooltubes
plagron batmix is the medium i have a fair few bags... so i know ive gotta go light on the nutes..
didnt know if you had any advise or a mini schedule that you do..

As promised, BlueDream. Here is MY personal schedule for "soil" use. Something like Plagron light or ProMix HP would work well with this. I use this schedule very loosely and adjust my feed according to what my girls need. These are the nutrients I prefer to use and have dabbled with over the past year.

Bud Candy is a replacement for Carboload
I use Kushie Kush instead of Big Bud
I use Roots Excelurator in place of Voodoo Juice
I use General Organics Cal/Mag because it's very simple and forgiving. If you grow with LED, you'll probably see a calcium deficiency in flower.

This is my current grow thread if you want to see how this feed schedule is working out. I am growing in coco coir currently, but it is essentially the same with extra Cal/Mag added.
