Hi guys.. as the title says.. I'm a complete novice to the growing scene and would appreciate any advice lol.
I have been reading various forums and websites to gather as much information as I can on growing and stumbled upon this website! So, I live in UK - London 51.4 N and want to grow some AutoFlowering strains but want to know what is the best strains for areas like this!
I have done some research and have compiled my own list of strains I think are good and would like to run it by you guys, if anyone has any experience with the below strains I would appreciate if you could tell me how good/easy they are to grow and what has the highest yield as I would like to maximize it.
Below is the list:
White widow auto - Royal Queen seeds/Dutch Passion - Unsure which is best!
Critical Jack auto - Delicious seeds
Magnum Auto - Buddha seeds
Candy kush - Auto Seeds
Russian Rocket Fuel
moby dick xxl auto
Blue AutoMazar
Big Devil XL Auto
Dark Devil Auto
Royal Creamatic
Afghan express
AutoFrisian Dew
I also have some questions if that's ok..
1) What equipment is absolutely necessary to buy: from germination to harvesting/curing?
2) What soils/fertilisers/nutes etc. should I be buying?
3) I don't have lights, so will windowsill do for the germinating? If not.. what is recommended?
4) What precautions should I take for pests/mould/bud rot etc.?
5) How often should I water the plants, do I water just the roots or? I read about it having to be PH balanced water?
5a) I have one spot that is open around trees.. so if it rains it will get water that way and I have another spot that is close to a stream.. but I don't know how close it has to be to the stream for it to draw water from it? As i keep reading everywhere that if its close to a water source its fine?
6) In terms of the growing spot, there is a bit of moss on the ground which is easy to move and clear.. the soil looks generally good though as its a park/forest, but how big/far should I dig and how much soil do I need etc.
7) I've seen people talk about flushing their plants at points and don't really know what it is? could someone enlighten me lol
8) Also, I've read about the dangers of transporting the seed once germinated? Once germinated, what do I do.. should I put it in a put then put the pot in the ground? I've heard there are biodegradable pots, should I be looking at that or?
Overall, I want to keep this a natural process, using mother nature and whatever minimal extras I need to get the best yield and generally great weed!
Any help on any of the questions, advice or suggestions are always appreciated!
