Indoor A-Train's Going Back to Basics.......

Can't wait to see what those auto pots can do. Looks like you got the XL buckets? Does the reservoir have to be chilled do you know?

Thanks!

Those are the 3.9 Gallon (or 15L) pots. They do not have to be chilled, room temperature is preferred to my knowledge.

I'm just pulling your leg. I have a room in my basement I sleep in during the day since I work night shift. It also houses all of my grow equipment and hunting and fishing gear that's my yeti I use when fishing it's just sitting in there

Ok guys heres the first step of my auto pot journey I hope this help anyone looking into coco or auto pots.... either through my success or failure here we go

I'm using botanicare coco brick from amazon.
I got the brick in and placed it in a tote (5kg brick)

I put 12 Liters H20 straight from the tap in the tote and it broke up perfectly with a little work. Let sit 10 to 15 min at a time then crumble and mix again til all the way broke up

Then I put the amount needed in the actual auto pot and flush for 3 min with the hose on full blast. The first 20 seconds or so the water was brown / Cloudy, after that it was clear just getting the extra flush

I'm using 3 of the 4 pots so I filled the bucket and repeated the process 3 times, and after each wash I squeezed out the extra water and dumped into a separate tote to dry and "fluff"

Next I added the perlite after I rinsed it also. I know it's over kill but wanted to be sure I didn't skip any minute detail .... then I mixed with coco at a 70/30 coco/perlite mix

I then put the amount of hydroponic pebbles needed to put 5cm deep pebbles in the bottom of each autopot in a pot and rinsed it throughly as well.

This is all set aside til I get my extra tubing tom from lowes and I'll post exactly how I full my pots..

Pretty much. The tray the pot sits in is fed by a res and there is an air dome in the tray to bubble water and provide 02 to the root mass.

They have a lot of videos on YouTube if ya want to check them out. This will reduce greatly the amount of times I actually have to go in my tent
