a slightly different Question about breeding

A proper dry and chill will help germination greatly.
I've germed fresh seeds in the past but found they can take a week or so to crack - so dont give up.
Also, inclement growing enviroment wont affect the genetics in a viable bean as long as it is healthy it should grow fine.

that covers it all i think :) thanx alot man!

it would be very helpful though if you explained more thoroughly what you mean by proper dry and chill.

If I answered that - there'd be so many people disagreeing with me - like if I said how I germinate - not that I do anything wierd - just everyone has their own way.
But I will anyway.
My beans go in a cardboard box in a warm - but not hot (20C), room for 3 weeks, in subdued light. shakeing the box daily.
Then into my fridge at +3C.
A couple of weeks or more in the fridge and they are much more happy to germ in 24 hrs.
Before people start telling me I'm wrong - it couldn't work better for me.
I'm sure there are stickies about on this?
Good luck.
