a slightly different Question about breeding

Hello afn people, i have a question that i cannot find the answer to anywhere,

First some background info:
I got me some regular mi5 seeds and i trully loved this strain in regard to smoking it. Due to financial difficulties, i thought i would breed me some of these magic seeds so i could still have some,

So i naturally planted outdoors 4 of these seeds and it turned out i got 1 male and 3 females (Lucky!) .Anyway , i left the male with the females and they all got pollinated and now i have hundreds of big dark brown seeds, very much like the ones you buy,

Unfortunately the male plant was a miserable , thin, weak plant with alot of pollen sacs, and the 3 females were just slightly better, due to the weather i suppose since they were all planted in the end of august and the weather wasnt that bad, but wasnt very helpful either,

My question is this: are these seeds any good , do they have any prospect of outgrowing their parents and actually turning into decent plants(i dont expect giants, or champions) or are all these seeds useless judging by the dad?

thanks alot for your help in advance,

Are you growin them outdoors? If so you're probably going to get the same results if the weather is bad.. my guess is that if you grew them indoors with good nutrition, good water, and good lights they will come out better than the parents.. but idk fo sho this is just my theory..

I have the same exact issue with some white Sirus seeds. I'm germing 10 right now in the hopes of selecting out the crapy parents. Not to blow up your thread but I have a journal going if you want to see what happens to mine, it's the "grow lab" thread if your interested. I'll check back on this one to see what people are saying.

If your parents were of poor quality due to environmental factors, it's unlikely that the genetics were altered. I'd go under the assumption that the seeds are just fine.

well i'm not planning on using the seeds until next summer, but i only grow outdoors, so the weather will be fine when i actually use them

The genetics are pretty stable so you should see some more normal results from growing them more precisely indoors.

yes mi5 genetics are and have been good genes so with a more controled enviroment your gonna coex out stitches fine work .. grow those beans...

thank you everyone for your replies, so my resume from all the answers (correct me if im wrong please) is that although the parents were not very sturdy plants , the offspring may grow into decent plants in better conditions.

Also another question if you please, i tried to germinate some of these seeds directly after i took em, is that a mistake?cuz they are not germinating....is there another procedure i need to follow first???

A proper dry and chill will help germination greatly.
I've germed fresh seeds in the past but found they can take a week or so to crack - so dont give up.
Also, inclement growing enviroment wont affect the genetics in a viable bean as long as it is healthy it should grow fine.
