New Grower A first-time growers indoor growdiary.

Muddy: I am spending all my money right now. And i´m now done yet. Stick around, i am thinking of growing a lot of new and to me unknown strains. I have ordered Flash´s Annapurna yesterday, and i´m going to take it out tomorrow.

I have a new small update and pictures.

I have germinated three feminized Easy Ryder´s, and three regular Purple Mazar´s that have grown up out of the soil now. I had them under 25w CFL 2700K-lights for two of three days, but i don´t think that the 2700K is good for small seedlings growth.
So now they are standing on books by the 250w blue CFL. They are a little shaded by the bigger pots so the HPS can´t burn them.

Yes, it really does. But i had to take out the seedlings becouse they dried out to fast.

Do you or anybody else here on the forum knows what drooping leaftips are sign of? I can´t find anything about it. And she grows just fine. About 2 iches in the last two days. I think it can be nute-burn, becouse the tips on the leaves of the new growth where the tips are drooping are in a lighter green then the other leaves.

Here some pictures of the leaves. She are a little thirsty in this picture, but the leaves thats showing in the picture is like that all the time. They are drooping right down. Just like an icetap or something.

I saw in the infirmery that another member had the same problem, but i didn´t found out really what i should do, or if it´s something to worry about at all.

You have given them too much nutrients and over fed them a bit. What have you feed them lately and do all the leaves look like that or just a few? Can you move it from under the lights and take a picture of the whole plant?

I´ll post a picture a little bit later today. I may have given it to much nuts. That´s possible, but i don´t think so, or hope so. I have given them nuts each fifth day, and in between i give pH´d water.

Hi, guys. I have been busy for a while now, but i´m back today with a new update. Some news is that i have one of the Lowryders hanging in my closet. I had to cut it down becouse she was sick, and not getting better. And plus she took up a lot of space that i needed. I can really tell that the harvest was premature, but it had to be done. But i think she will work fine, so there´s a good side to it too.

The other LR´s have reached week 6, so now they are officially in the flowering stage. I can really tell becouse the buds are rockhard, and they stink. I post pics of them too.

Other then that, nothing new have been going on, really. The girls are just growing, and doing real good.

I have some new pictures of one of my Easy Ryder´s that i have performed a little bit of Low Stress Training on. I took these pictures a few days ago, and i have a few new pics that i´ve took today. So you guys can compare the results for yourselves.

Here are both E-R´s, side by side. They wore the same height before the L.S.T. 38 cm tall (about 1 ½ foot).


Here´s my favorite LR girl. I topped her when she was 2-3 weeks old, and she has grown two colas. I couldn´t find a good angle in the first picture, but i think you can see what i mean.

So, there you go. I am planning on having the L-R´s for about two more weeks. By then they are 9 ½ weeks old. I can´t wait any longer.

I have been busy these last two days. I have got my self a cooltube. Installed and ready. I have also got myself a seedling space too. If somebody got an idea of how i can improve my seedling station in some way. Please post and give me your ideas. I was thinking of hanging the reflector lower, and put a cardboard-box under. Paint the inside of the box and cut airholes for the computerfans. Here´s a picture of how it looks now.

Also, my Easy Ryder girls are celebrating their 49th day today. So i will not need the CFL that i have in the tent right now when they are in full flowering stage. So i unplugged it and took the bulb out off the socket. When had the bulb in my hand, and out of the tent, i realized that i have been growing my young plants, and seedlings with a 2700K-bulb. A flowering-bulb. I have always thought that that one was a 6400K-bulb. That can explain why my plants have been growing my Lowryder #1´s so small in height. I always thought that they wore too small. I know, they are Lowryder #1´s, and they are very, very small. But i think that they are supposed to be taller. Or could be bigger.

What do you guys think? Can this be it?

What kind of light are you going to use for your seedlings? Keep in mind that they like a little warmer environment, especially for sprouting seeds. Since odor isn't an issue with seedlings I didn't bother to enclose my veg area. I have it enclosed on all 4 sides with mylar covered plywood, but the top is open. If you go to my profile I have an album there with some pictures. Might give you an idea or two.

Yes, that bulb was probably effecting your seedlings. A little red is okay, actually good, but the majority of the light should be in the blue spectrum.
