New Grower A blind man growing his meds...

The setup:
A Mars Hydro 3x3x5 ft tent w/ reflective mylar interior and 300w LED.
Two four and a half gallon regular pots and one 3 gallon regular pot. There is also a small 4 inch clip on fan in the corner and just above the girls, and also reflects off the top of the tent to give them different wind direction at once, and two exhaust any warm air. The soil recipe and feeding schedule will be in the next post..

The Girls:
1x Blue Trickle in a 3 gal. pot.
1x Polar Express in a 4 1/2 gal. pot.
1x Rhino Rider in a 4 1/2 gal. pot.

he history so far:
The girls are now 42 days old from sprouting. Somehow, we had 2 plants sprout in the same pot, so we transplanted the Blue Trickle into these smaller pot for now. We have had issues with fungus gnats. That situation appears to be on the mend. By placing a layer of sand about a half inch or so on top of the soil, and by treating the top of the soil using a spray bottle, then the top of the san. We are using a pesticide whose active ingredient is not synthetic, but a naturally occurring oil. That should give the little buggers a double whammy. I will figure out how to post pictures as soon as I can and put some up for you. Please feel free to post any comments, suggestions, critiques it cetera. I can use all the help I can get, so the more the merrier! :peace:

Yes they are Autos. I thought they were small myself. Not sure what you mean by one Wonder buds, but they are small.
About the nutrients, I assume these are designed to be used with the fox farm soils. Are they organic as well? Should they be flushed 2 weeks prior to harvest? I haven't researched specific Brands yet. Thanks again everyone! God bless! :peace:
I've had stunted auto plants that I call one bud wonders because they were pretty much just one colla, one bud. I only do hydro myself and don't really know anything about soil, other than how to kill plants in it. With your condition, hydro may be easier to work with, you can feel the roots, feel the water temps, etc. Just something to think about...

One thing that may help would be using larger pots, maybe? But I'll let the soil guys help you.

@blindsurvivor you said your goal was to have a better soil so you just need to add water/organics when your plants need it.. here's a very informative article that I recommend you read, the first part is about pre mixed soils then it talks about creating your own mix and give u some really good info . Check it out http://herb.co/2016/05/06/super-soil-2-best-soil-for-marijuana/

These were taken yesterday morning at lights out. By the way, I am running and 18/6 light cycle. The lights went to bloom settings on Thursday, and are 22 to 24 inches above the tops of the girls.

Your 'soil' looks really not likesoil, more likes little rocks and sand...maybe thats the problem!?

CTV... that's just awesome! Thank you very much! Just one thing... Could you please post that link in a post all by itself, or send it to me in a p.m. all by itself with nothing else in the message? The screen reader on my phone will not separate links from regular text for some reason. Unless they are by themselves in a post, I cannot click on it. Thanks in advance.
CO... it looks that way because we had to add sand on top of the soil to try and control a fungus gnat infestation. The soil below that layer is a mixture that I posted for the beginning of this thread. It will give you the mixture and it will also gives you the feeding schedule.

Thanks to everybody that has responded. Welcome all of you to this journal. I'll try to keep things as interesting as possible with my stupid questions and newbie mistakes. :peace:

Imagine that... Two phone calls and I have my soil and nutrients set up for the next grow. The local garden shop has a soil that contains just about everything you would need already to at least get the plants to the blooming cycle. The 2 cu. Ft. bag even has a picture of a marijuana leaf on it! LOL
Once blooming starts, then the Fox Farms nutrients should be good to get through blooming. Yes, I know I will have to flush for the last two weeks of blooming. Now... I have to find either my pH meter or get some litmus paper.
