funny thing is where looking at 300 notes for an led and a cmh would come in aircooled at £160 and destroy all and you can replace the bulbs lol
have to factor £50 a year for bulbs though + leccy

yeah, when you look at pure economy... its hard to turn away a cmh or even hps.... but long term i think led pays out in electric savings and bulb life.... so would the plasma at 30,000 hours... :toke:

its a question iof having an "extra $1300" lol....

I dont.... wish I did... but I dont.. :smoke:

nearest thing to sun but its still to pricey for what it is dont think par is that much higher vs cost but spectrum may make up for it
To OP get the led you have your heart set on it if you dont dont you will be like what if?

Thanks all, got some good info to read through and some food for thought, going to have a good read up on some air cooled systems and the leds, still got some time anyway as at the moment got some in polytunnel and little diy veg section run with a cfl and old reptile light so not worrying yet it was more for towards the end of the summer time although im going to get the tent soon as like the majority money is a problem so I'll be getting the odd bits as and when I've got few quid spare, one of the reasons the aircooled system is starting to appeal lol..

to be fair you can not go far wrong with any of the options
i keep meaning to spend more time in the tunnel as well

the warrenty if they back it up looks good is there really that much difference on premium brands
there plenty of people have had good grows not just seymour does muddy not have a black star?
like i said it was a rule of thumb it was you trying to pick holes in some thing that was not an issue

J TaNg you really should be aiming for 2g per watt in non hydro with led every 10 weeks

I'm not Picking holes in anything mate, you suggested a blackstar 180w for a dr90,I use that panel and I'm saying it's not enough watts, par etc you need more if yr filling that size tent.the 180w is for a 2x2 area.and yr right mate there ain't much difference between the top companies mate, there panels all grow good weed :smokebuds:

I'll take your point on coop it just seems funny to me a 250w hps would be ideal in there but a 180w led which is suppose to be on par with 400w hps is not good enough

but the extra lumens of the 240w im sure would come in handy for sat strains
like i mentioned im sure he could go far worse than picking up either
he said hes getting a dr60
60cm is 2x2

There just figures mate and I think companies mislead people with info like that.i have the dr60 tent and the 180w..my panel only has 60 LEDs but I'm gonna upgrade to this http://igrowleduk.co.uk/products-page/i-grow-led-x-range/i-grow-84x-135w/ it has 84 LEDs plus the x lense and it will give me the added light I need mate.also with led iv noticed the core area isn't that big and it's better to say have 2 x240w than 1 500w.i think hps has a better core growing area, led is restricted a little due to the lenses,if they use 120 degree the intensity lowers, but go to 60 or 90 degree lenses and higher intensity but smaller core growing area

Yea gotta love abit of proper gardening too mate, I got some deadly habenero's just out of the polytunnel and few alone veras in it to :-)

One of the reasons I didn't want to give with the normal setup is I only plan on having one ruck fan bringing air in and a small clip on on for few hours a day as it might sound abit crazy but the mrs would start thinking im trying to go abit professional with loads of plugs and fans etc haha I know im scared of the mrs lol

So confusing to say the least, like everything in life the more you start to learn about something the more you realize you don't actually know, so many options... if I've got the money im gonna go with the led you put up red and if need be use the odd cfl for some extra light to the canopy if im not abit flush with cash in august I'll be going with the aircooled system, to be fair both systems seem great.

Sweet for the advice guys an I'll keep you updated with what I go with.

I see what your saying just alot of wedge for a 2x2 tent when its in digital ballast aircooled light which could be upgraded in the future and you can replace bulbs
my lumatek 600w can do 300w 2x2 400w 3x3 and 600w and 600w extra lumens switch around 3.75ft and being air cooled still come in under £200 3 year warrenty

gram per watt are main stream with hps and there never been an issue with airy buds

i think we will have to agree to disagree on this one

got some nice winter squashes on the go should be good

Can I just add that my lights did come on golden unicorns and they were ridden by hotties with massive joints hanging from there pouting lips lol I wish.
