leds are getting better but there not considered the best yet think plasma is, then ceramic mh then hps then mh

some of the experts like ed ,nico, to name 2 have said that led band widths are not enough and theres a big reason why 99.9% of commercial nurserys or commercial growers dont use them yet but im sure they will soon in the future and the 5w chips should be closer again

it is said that led can yield nearly double a hps if light per watt if spread is correct so a 125w led should yield close to a 250 hps/mh so they are a valuable addtion

there is a black star listed above 180w which £100 cheaper then the other listed as is considered one of the best led's

for the most light is a 400w and aircooled hood on a 6" outlit would out yield all but thats a massive 100w psf and is over kill 80 psf is the max safe to run

Hmmmm agito that sounds good

I was looking at some aircooled systems like the sputnik on growells site but what put me off slightly was it seemed little complicated at do i need to purchase the fan separately to the aircooled light etc or does it come together? I would mind adding extra leds to a led system or vice versa althoughly what does push me slightly towards the leds is the electricity bill too as i don't want to be running too much on the electric, what kind of price would you say id pay for a full aircooled package?

for a good hood (not cool tube) and named mag ballast +bulb about £120 the fan should be the same size for the tent and that would hook to your hood and filter and pump out of the tent so only 1 fan is needed and some worm drive clips and some duct 5" or 6" to match the hood

If you do choose the blackstar go with the 240w,I own the 180w and I can grow nice plants I wish I'd got the 240w for a little more power.if you order from abroad you have to pay import tax on top of the price of the LED that's why yr better buying from a uk company mate,you also get the uk warrenty and repaired in the uk if anything goes wrong,and I think these lights iv linked for you are better than the blackstars,that's why I'm upgrading to them mate

a dr90 with a 400w hps or a 180w black star

a 180w blackstar is not powerfull enough for a tent that size mate,id say the 240w at a minimum as i use a 180w in dr60 and I want more power.i like my blackstar a lot but there's uk companies offering equally,if not better LEDs now and there's no import tax and sending over seas for repair etc.you will also grow dense nuggs with led,there's loads of led grower here pulling good yields of dense bud under LED, and virtually all panels are for veg and bloom.
