a thrilling prospect of quality weed! Rhaps, I only hear good things about airpots, would you say you are converted to them/convinced by them?

Good question. I am thinking of buying either these airpot, or smart-pots/Rhizo-pots. Will do a couple runs first before moving to DWC. The only bad thing about airpots is that apparently there is a lot of run-off through the side holes. People have been going around this issue using cling wrapping film, but seems like too much of a hassle, especially if you have more than a couple of plants.
By design, I expect the Rhizopots to be a bit better in this regard, while maintaining the same air pruning qualities (or even better? smaller and lots more holes)...?
Rizopots are also called Smartpots. Ive tried them and hated them. I will explain that in a second. On the water running out of the holes.....mmmm thats supposed to happen. I never water in my tent. I water in my bathtub. The water coming out of the holes is normal and should be expected. It does not gush out like a fountain just dribbles out but thats a good thing it means that the entirety of your soil is getting wet just not going to the bottom. Wrapping them in plastic is stupid. Would not do it.
Why did I hate the Smartpots (Rhizo-pot in your case) well when you water them all the water collects. The frabic traps it. It takes FOREVER for them to get rid of the run off...airpots on the other hand 30 min after you water not a drop comes out. The water would soak the frabic and the dirt would block it. You have to have a caddy. You put a smartpot on the ground with no air underneath and all you will have is a wet moldy pot after a while.
Also there not really reusable. The roots grow into the frabric. As for airflow I think its worse as the frabric remains drenched and blocks air. I had to have mine on a caddy inside a water collector. They would stay wet for a week.
Lastly the other thing I hated was the roots grew into the fabric and when you move them you can rip the roots.
I will never use them again nor do I recommend them.
