i'm subbed for the long haul, and i'm hunting to find a better fan for my cabinet right now i'm using a foothills carbon filter with integrated fan that obviously isn't pulling enough CFM i was thinking about a 6" inline i found on amazon thats rated for 440, and only cost $80.... can you recommend something that isn't too loud that would work? would love your input
best o luck on the 32oz girl
Thanks on the 32 ouncer...she will be a beast!!!
On the cooling well a 4 inch usually is about 190 CFM but there a tad noisy..small fans = more noise, big fans = less noise. 6incher would be quieter, pull double the CFM but whats also interesting is on half power it pulls what a 4 inch does. You can buy a variable speed attachment box that your fan plugs into and that into the wall. I find that invaluable to keep noise down. Also you might construct a box get egg crate foam from the store and line it box over fan...that cuts down alot of noise. On my 4 inch fan I bought a muffler without realizing all it was was a tube that connected to the fan with egg crate foam. If you can secure it to a wall with the associated brackets you will also cut down on noise. The van generates vibration and makes more noise since the vibration has no where to go. On a wall it transfers it into the wall.
