Hello y'all
In was just reading about auto training and I had read something about the 5th node. I have looked for the posts but no joy.
if you look it up it ays a node I where the leaf meets the stem. So if I was to top at the 5th node that is after the fourth leaf correct???

This is my method with autos.

Topping is best done between day 14 and 21. The younger a plant is the longer it has to recover in the vegetative state. I have found topping above the fourth node works best for me.

Most of the time cannabis grows with two branches opposite of each other evenly spaced on the stem. In this arrangement each node has two branches. Like in the circles. Some plants do not grow symmetrical branches in length along the stem. In that case I would try to top above the eighth branch.

When we say "stems not leaves, are you talking about the first pair of fan leaves with petioles above the first pair of single true leaves? Some might be confused as the early fan leaves don't have stems or branches they have petioles, right?

Thank for the help.
I cut the lady today. If it was a tomato plant I would know what to expect.. But its not so,, what else doI need to do and what can I expect?
