Lighting 4x4 with F Strips... Need more... Should I Viparspectra 900W or not?

Okay guys here goes, I'm trying to learn as fast as I can but I need a little direction.

4x4x7 tent

I already built a strip light -- 8x Samsung F strips F562B's (split 3000 and 3500). (~230W)

I knew I'd need more light.... So, earlier this week I made a late night impulse buy and got the Viparspectra 900w... Now, I'm not sure if I made a mistake, if I should return it or not.

I was thinking originally that I'd only need another 8x F strips, and I almost placed the order....then I got distracted, and started doubting myself... I figured a total of ~460w (with 16x F strips) wouldn't be as good as ~640w total (viparspectra 900w and 8x F strips)

...to buy another 8x F strips it'd be about $330, all said and done

the viparspectra 900w cost $373 ... so I figured (during my impulse purchase) that for $40, more or less, it was worth it....

now, I'm really leaning towards returning the viparspectra 900w and going back to the original plan (16x F strips at 460w)...

hmm...

So my question is... should I return the Viparspectra 900w and get another 8x F strips instead? Before this all started I wanted to just go with HLG but I had trouble finding a source with fast shipping to the great white north.

I'm pretty lost at the moment. LED tech is moving so quick I think I started down the right path, then strayed... Now I'm reading about cobs...

Help me out here guys!

Not really an option for me, unfortunately... (at least not a cheap one, being in Canada) ... the 240w option (same as 8x samsung F strips) is like $360cad with shipping, not including duties.

...unless they're superior to F strips in some significant way that I'm unaware of? Pretty sure it's the same diodes as the F strips though

Return it and put your money where it's well spent, the samsung LM561c strips, HLG QB's, any of the main makers in COB's (cree, citizen, vero) etc. All will be far superior to the Viparspectra and last a lot longer... don't worry I made the same mistake to fill a gap and bought one my self a year ago, lasted one grow and I got rid of it. It performed better than my 600w Mars classic of the same wattage but just gave off way to much heat and the plants fried when they got to close ( I have hight restrictions so I like to let my plants grow with-in inches) so I built a lower end cost COB array with twice the amount of wattage to replace it for only a little exrt cash than the price I paid for the Vipa

Thanks guys. Finished off the new light today. Returning the Viparspectra 900w tomorrow.

I'm already so glad you guys convinced me to keep going with the F strips. Really happy with how it turned out.
