Doesn't matter who the processor is; on a federal level cannabis is an illegal, controlled substance in the states. Whether your backed by FDIC or other government related financial institutions, it's still illegal money on a federal level no matter how you slice it. This is the NUMBER ONE reason no one likes to play ball with cannabis when it comes to merchant processing (and why you keep hearing the words "cash business" when it comes to the cannabis industry.) At any point in time, the government could decide ALL your money is potentially illegal cannabis money, making it incredibly uninviting to get into. Even with the strong movement in hemp in the states right now, merchant processors are still taking a huge dump even on CBD-based business on hemp derived products.

When you apply for merchant processing for a business, there's usually a risk assessment (they ask and find out about your business.) Once they catch wind or the notion that you might be selling seeds, it's game over. There -are- merchants out there that may work with individuals, but few and far in between and often times it's under false pretense lol...

To be honest, the one time I used a money order to buy Mephisto beans was one of the smoothest easiest seed buys ever. Now obviously, it was probably a lot more work for the guys on the receiving end of all the money orders.

If shit gets dire, I have no issues printing out a form, checking boxes, and mailing a money order

It’s what I did for my very first order from Meph. It’s before I really knew them as a company and when I first joined AFN. I remember standing in line at the post office thinking...”a friggn money order? For seeds? What if they take my money and run”!!! Check got delivered and seeds arrived a few days later. I’m a meph lifer now. Period. I’m sure Mango smile will be there when I’m ready to order again.

I have sent cash before to OES prior to knowing them and was fine. I have bought a ton from Mephisto and trust them, I would have ZERO issue sending them cash. We all know who they are, and i would much rather send cash than bitcoin or any other service like it. In fact, I would just not buy from them if i had to use that. Sucks but I dont want to use bitcoin and wont. You can get them from seedbanks if need be. That's just me, many use bitcoin and like it I guess. They will get it figured out I have no doubt, and i am ok with the wait. Then again, i have 29 Mephisto strains on hand and am in no way close to being out lol.

I wish bitcoin would just come back. That's all that is needed, it's easy enough for anyone to adapt and learn to use globally for purchases.

Lack of knowledge is the only reason not to use crypto. You can be in and out of crypto in less then 10 mins. You're not investing, you're making a purchase. It's not much different then paypal for me. Sometimes I even get freebies for paying for seeds with it.

The ten minute setup process is what intimidates most. I reluctantly signed up last year when Mephisto was having payment issues during their black Friday sale. I even got $10 for signing up through coinbase. Now I use it whenever possible to buy seeds.
