I’ve been running regs in notill for a cpl years in (2) 3x3 fabric beds in my 4x8x6.5’ tent. Wanting to try Autos. Wanting to keep the plants on the shorter side, I was thinking of running 9 in each bed. Any thoughts?

I've moved your thread to new growers forum, which may get more traffic for you.

9 in a 3x3 sounds like a lot unless you'll be doing lots of training (lollipopping, defoliation, schwazzing etc)
I run 1 or 2 in 2x4 tent, but don't do any training.

Any more in that space will cuase huidity and mold problems for me.

Hope this helps

All the best

Thanks Blue for moving my post and your response.
My thoughts on more of a SOG style were that only a cpl plants in almost 90 gal of soil might extend growing times and multiple plants(9) might keep their height down and a quicker finish. ‍♂️

If you're just trying to keep them on the shorter side, topping and/or lst would work for that. Picking smaller/faster strains should help as well, but I'm not too experience on growing in a large bed like that.

I'm a big fan of SoG grows but can confirm humidity and mold can easily become an issue.

Here's 20+ in a 2.5'x5' tent from a few years back.

Looking at it now there's way too many and should've been defoliated hard along the way. :face: But SoG autos is definitely doable.

I do 9 in a 4x4 but if you're looking for SOG inspiration check out anything by @420autoflower
Or check out @Bob's Auto's new thread

But it can definitely be done with care

Thanks for the reply.
I’ve been able to handle the humidity/temp issues for my last 5 runs, putting 9 regs in each bed and vegging to about 18” before flipping. I can’t imagine autos would be much different?

Is your 3x3 grow bed home made or did you find it somewhere, Ive been looking for one to fit in my 3x3 tent for at least a year now. The best I can find is a 28"x28". Everything else is 20x40. Ive been thinking about just getting a 45 gallon rain science low rider and just building a stand for a gap at the bottom of it.

It’s a Grass Roots pot.
I decided to use(2) 3x3 in my 4x8 tent so that I’d have room for all the equipment to deal with environment.
