Yes they will work but if you have the couple extra bucks like maul said go with a digital meter. It's possible if the lights were to far away but with the CFL's you should have them a few inches away right on top of the plant. Most autoflower seedlings dont respond well to pre ferted soil that's why if you do a quick search you will notice that most newer growers that go to the nearest home depot or lowes and grab there soil normally have problems early on and they end up chasing them the whole grow. I also agree with maul on the PH meter first before anything else for that same fact. You go buy the soil, seeds, ferts ect then when your first problem arises you have no clue what's going on and have to run out and buy one or your plant just ends up dying. If you don't have the cash for a digital one I would atleast grab the strips so you can get an idea of what's going on then attend to the problem as soon as possible. Good luck brother and let us know what that pH is. You can get her under control in no time

I think my lights would have been too close so I backed them off to around 1 and a half inches. The soil was PH 6.5 when I bought it. Do you think that if they were going to die they would of by now? I think they do seem to be growing slowly

Even if it was 6.5 when you bought it it could have still went up or dropped. The water you add canchange it and also pre ferted soil is time released. As you add water it releases more nutes into the plant. If you were to over water a auto seedling with pre ferted soil it would release more nutes into the plant and change the overall PH. I would just check it out now to see where you are at. Just my 2 cents bro.

I don't think it's going to die on ya. I think its going to make a turn around and grow into a nice big girl for ya :toke: check that ph and see what's going on. Stick your finger in the soil and see how damp it Is a inch or 2 deep and go from there. The plant actually doesn't look to ba at all. How is she looking now?

The 1st and 2nd pic is the diesel ryder (10days old) and the 3rd pic is an easy ryder (7days old).

They are in 3 gallon pots under 2 x 65w red cfl and 4 x 36w blue and when flowering I will add an extra 2 x 65w red's, That makes 202w per plant. Temp was high at maybe 33C and now have it at 29C.

The soil is organic and I mixed in a load of perlite and vermulite, I haven't watered the diesel ryder for a week now and the pot is still really heavy and I fully saturated the easy ryder 2 days ago. The soil the diesel ryder is in is moist 2 inches down but dry on top. I think I should wait to water for another week at least. What do you think? Or should I flush the soil?

Ok I flushed and the run off was 6.5. How long before they recover?
