Fast Buds 2nd grow: Rhino Ryder and LSD-25

Felt like something was missing because I updated early and I said there would be day 49 updates. So in honor of the gals making it to week 7! I took my beautiful LSD Emily out to bask in the the sun for a bit. Here's a main cola shot...

Even though my harvest on 4 plants will probably be less than my harvest on three plants from my first grow, this one plant makes up for any shortage on yield. She is magnificent @FastBuds ! From her structure, to her color, to her smell! Absolutely divine! These LEDs are easily putting twice as many trichs on my girls than I had last time. They are so fucking frosty! Emily hasn't even hit the snow storm yet, she still has 3 weeks to go! At week 8 I will harvest my most mature rhino, Riley. I believe she will be ripe at this point and it will free up just enough space to recompose the grow so that I will be able to transplant my super cheese into her final home (7 gal smart pot). Then I will let my other two rhinos, Maya and Nina, go to week 9 (they'll be harvested at week 9 as they are about a week behind Riley). Once they are out I will transplant my newest LSD into her 3 gal smart pot and I will let Emily go for one more week (harvest at week 10). Everything should go pretty smoothly, I'm just hoping that baby LSD isn't a dud!

she is lookingyea man maybe its the Mars hydro LEDs because my LSD is covered in trichs also some of the smaller fan leaves are fully coated in trichs! if your saying that they still have some frost to put on i dont know where its gonna go! maybe ontop of the others? haha i checked the trichs on mine lastnight and she is 100% cloudy on the sugar leaves and main cola... do you think i should still have some swelling ahead Herbisaur? i on day 47 i believe and due to my PH mess up i stunted some alot of her growth unless there is more ahead still.... and i think you have a solid plan man! i think im going to start giving AN overdrive in the next day or 2 to try and get the most AN Big Bud feedings as i can...

@tripaholic88 oh yea man you have some fattening up to do for sure. it's hard to tell because I don't have a shot of the whole plant, but I fed bloom and calmag on day 47 to LSD and now at day 49 she's put on noticeable weight! I'd say the next 7-10 days she's going to pack on the pounds and then the remaining 10 or so days she'll just be ripening! I notice this pattern with my mutant rhino as well. She is about a week from harvest and this last week she really increased weight and now it's leveling out and I think she is just focusing on trich ripeness now. Looks like I spilt a bag of sugar on that babe! I noticed the frost almost doubled in the last week or maybe its just the tricks get cloudy from clear that makes it look so much more saturated.

I notice that there is a point when the plant has decent buds and the frost comes on and i think "I could chop it now and love the smoke" but then you wait and a week and think "holy shit glad I didn't chop it when it looked legit" then another week passes and I think "holy shit I'm glad I waited yet another week because she is easily 30-50% fatter than 2 weeks ago and powdered up" Then I feel like it kind of levels off on growing and at that point my patience is actually extremely high because I'm waiting for more swell but it doesn't come so at the end of that third week I just chop it. That has been my experience on my first LSD grow and is what I'm experiencing with this grow now....just you wait and see, its bulking season baby!

ooooo man! you just got me all excited! i think i will ignore the trichs for a cpl days and keep feeding big bud untill day 50-52! thank you for your experience in this strain my friend!

@iampepe it looks like the lights you have now are doing you good! I have to say these MH LED 5w chip reflectors are really showing my plants some love and vice versa. I am only seeing density and frostiness on my autos because they did all of their veg growth under cfl/hps, but my photos are loving these reflectors from seedling! Go check out my photo grow in my sig! First time at it, but I am really loving it. I think I'm going to have to build a separate auto box and use my closet for photos, since I have so much vertical space. Anyway point being that my LEDs are 26-28" from my photos and they aren''t stretching one bit, excellent penetration, and my temps are 10 degrees lower than my cfl/hps combo. I really love these LEDs, I'd say worth the investment later on.

I used to grow under 1000's and these LED's kick their booties in the amount of trichs the plants produce. The heat difference is really a huge plus for these lights, don't think I'll ever go back.

Your LSD is looking purrrrrrrdy! I'm at 66 days on mine, thinking it's coming down in the next day or two. I agree with your 10 week assessment, patience is key.

@iampepe I didn't have too good of lights before so I am blown away by these LEDs. One of the negatives I had heard about the 5w chips is that they run hot, but my house is at 72 and my room is at 73 lol! The hottest it gets is 75! So in my opinion they don't run hot at all. Perhaps the 3w chips would keep my room the same temp as my house, but it wouldn't make a difference. Another thing I like about the 5w chips is the lights have to be pretty far away from the girls which allows me more ease in moving shit around and water etc. When I had my cfls I had to raise all the lights every time I wanted to do something with the girls.

I only have one grow under my belt and the longest I let the girls go was 63 or 65 days I can't remember, but this time I am definitely taking my LSD to day 70! Her pistils are almost all white at week 7, just the tips are starting to organic on some. They haven't began to shrivel or anything so I think 10 weeks will be the sweet spot!

Well @tripaholic88 @Fuggzy @iampepe @Colonel leave it to Herbisaur after lecturing on being patient, in his desperation to find some type of joy after being buried in a thermodynamics book to snip off the tip of Riley's main cola and hang it to dry! lol I checked on the girls about 6 times today and my idle hands got the best of me! Let me emphasize how impressed I am with these LEDs the frost is insane! the Density is insane! I might actually end up getting 14-16 grams off of my 12" Rhino! Pumped!

This little nugget weight 9.8 grams! (wet of course!)

The crazy part is that the frost doesn't really "pop" until the buds are dry! I'm thinking this thing is going to be white! (mumbles: great white buffalo) She still has a lot of white pistils but I see no clear trichs under my microscope and about 5% amber, so I am happy I chopped. I was looking for something to do to escape the book, but it took me all but about 30 seconds to trim this thing, it was all bud! Anyways I guess I need to study more, but enjoy the bud porn fellas!

welp i guess im sticking with LED's although i might use a combo at some point when i expand my grow tent into a grow room

and herb i didnt see much difference with one LED but when i fired up the 2nd one my tent temp went from 78-83 but that is to be expected with added lights obv.

@tripaholic88 what are you using as an exhaust? I have two in my closet and it stays within 3 degrees of my house temp. I have heard combos are the best which is why I'm glad my buddy had given me that 150w hps. I am going to try to add it in when I flower my photos, hopefully it doesn't get too hot!

haha ive trimmed off some lower middle popcorn buds that i cant really get any light to but i havent had the urge to cut a real bud yet haha and im def sticking with Mars for LED's man for the price and the results its a no brainer! and damn you got me cracking up all day today.. i loved hot tub time machine and you had me dying over here!
