Yesterday was
Day 84 and I harvested some nice buds from my
Easy Ryder.
This is how she looked coming out of about 56 hrs of cold darkness.
Then I cut her apart and trimmed her up.
She was a bitch to trim. Her calyx:leaf ratio speaks heavily in favor of leaves. But they were so full of thc- this plants' trimmings will make a fine contribution to my HashStash. This job was so sticky it was almost runny.
While trimming she gave off a very strong pine scent. Very strong and irritating for the eyes. While I was hanging the buds afterwards, I noticed she was starting to smell a little skunky. Just faint, but just there like an under-tone.
Thanks to a fine trick of the light, this pic makes it look like I have a Purple Easy Ryder. Sorry, nothing but green and a few shades of a red and brown mix.
I didn't weigh these buds- I'll wait till it's dry and all the stems are gone.
....and now for something completely different....
My Lovey Dovey
Rapid Afghan has been curing for a week now.
When you open the jar you get a wonderful lemon-skunk smell. More lemony until you handle the buds by cutting or grinding- then the skunk turns overwhelming!
This stuff is wonderful. A mellow high that keeps you locked down to wherever you are. Not one for work or occasions where you might be expected to function at more productive rate. Unless you're a musician or an artist of some sort, then your talking about a truly favorable additive to the session.
Smoked in a bowl, two hits puts me in a nice place for about two hrs. It creeps on real slow and gentle. The body is warm and -sorry, I have to say it- fluffy. It just feels so cottony and calm. No troubles, no worries.. You
won't find yourself saying, "..coming down now...", you
will find yourself saying, "...still high...".
Smoked pure in a joint it blew my head off. It came on slow and steady and kept on climbing, till I became so euphoric that I freaked and was panicky for about 10 minutes, with those strange, unwelcome, unsafe thoughts that haunt you in those moments of thc induced anxiety. After that I was cool for the longest time.
Music is my thing, and this is a fine strain for listening to your favorite ear candy. It brings back memories of watching the music droplets circling through the world while on lsd.
The taste of this bud right here is a mix of sweet and sour on a smooth inhale. The exhale has that synthetic taste that I can't compare to anything yet. But it's one of this buds' accents that I've come to really love. The synthetic taste is only right at the beginning and very short lived. Then come the smokey earth tones and the sweetness of what I'm hoping comes from fine organic growing. Then, as if that wasn't enough, the skunk taste. It explodes like fizzling micro-sparks that seem to cover the whole inside of your mouth. The skunk taste lingers long and it all leaves you wondering how it was possible that this experience was made possible by sticking a seed in the earth.
I strongly recommend growing this plant.
