Hey AFN, I'm at it again! This time a little different...
Rapid Afghan from AC Genetics = LR#2 x (Afghan x Skunk#1)
and
JD's Easy Ryder LR#2 x AK 47
Organically amended Quality Potting Soil from Compo Sana in 2.5 gl Airpots
The seeds were started in small glasses of tap water to saturate. After 9 hrs, the Rapid Afghan sunk, so they went into the soil.
Both sprouts showed after three days in perfect synchronicity.
The soil in each pot consists of:
2/3 CompoSana (~6.5 ltr)
1/3 Worm Castings (~3.5 ltr)
1 fat tsp Seabird Guano 11-10-2
2 tsp composted Chicken Guano 3-4-2
1 tsp Epsom Salt
3 tsp Powdered Eggshells
5 Tbsp Horn, Bone and Blood Meal 6-8-2
4 Tbsp Powdered Kelp
4 Tbsp Powdered Alfalfa
These components will also be parts of the aerated Tea's that I will be feeding them. I want to somehow work in BioBizz FishMix and BioBloom. But through veg, just my mixes, then we'll see about the BioBizz.
I made a cylinder of Seed Starter Soil in the middle of each pot and the seeds went into this starting soil.
I used 1 ltr of Distilled Water with 1/2 tsp Molasses (each pot) to mist the soil, layer for layer while putting it in the Airpots. I used an empty paper towel roll in the middle to form the cylinder for the Seed Starter Soil. Had to use a new one for the second pot- the first one went all gooey.
Lights are starting out with 1x 23w 6500 cfl and 1x 23w 2700 cfl each plant.
As the plants grow, the light will increase to 263w of total cfl.
I wanted to start these in January, but through a very cool change of plans, I am able to keep my room and stealth over the holidays. So I didn't get a chance to get more 6500k cfl's as planned. We don't have a Lowes or Home Depot in this country and our Lowes and Home Depot "like" stores only carry up to 23w of any cfl's. I'll end up having to order them online. Didn't want to do that, but I'll have to.
The 2.5 gl Airpots are much bigger than I thought. It's going to be tight in my cab and I'm going to need a week or three to learn when I need to water. Whole new ball game. But I'm playing!
The ER is taller and spindly and the RA is shorter, looks stronger, and put out the second set of true leaves sooner. I am so looking forward to this Afghan! Gonna be a loooong two and a half months...

2 Day Old Rapid Afghan
2 Day Old Easy Ryder
Because of my setup's size limitations and the way my lights are configured, the little sprouts are constantly trying to lean towards the light. So I turn the pots a few times a day. I am thinking this, in addition to the air blowing on and around them, will really strengthen the stems.
