Muddy you are so on it all the time, I don't know how you have the time to monitor things so well.

So flush in a few days when they need water, or flush now? I'm probably going to do some lime when I flush as well.

My work is seasonal, plus I'm semi-retired, so I have time to keep with things here. Once the weather gets a little warmer I won't have as much time though. Lots of projects I need to get done.

Yes, I think a little flush might be in order. I'd go easy on the lime. If you're at 6.2 you're almost spot on.

Well my cool tube came today. I switched out my exhaust to be external and blowing through the co2 scrubber. This bought me a little space.

I'm doing a test run now to monitor temps. My ballast has a 50% setting I'm wondering of I run a 400w bulb at 50% am I really putting out 200w, and can I expect better temps at that setting? In truth this cabinet is small an really should have a 150w hps.

Any thoughts?

WEEK 5

I've been running the cool tube at 75% (at 50% the light was really red) temps seem to be holding at 74º f. I'll need to upgrade my space by summer I suppose. I cannot believe the intensity of the hps light, its crazy. I'm really looking forward to see the difference in another 5 weeks. I feel like my grow box is running at peak efficiency now.

I flushed the girls and their runoff was a perfect 6.5. They're in full flower and starting to get stinky. I don't thing I'm going to post pics this week, they're bigger is all. I'll put some up when the buds start getting exciting.

Sounds like you've got things in order, great. Yep, a 400 watt HPS is pretty bright, especially in a small area. Have you tried pushing it up to 100%. At 74 you can still got up another 6 or 7 degrees.

You're plants look good, so I'm expecting you'll grow some big buds with this new light.

I hope so too. I turned it all the way up, I feel like its an old cartoon when a power switch has 10 settings and the highest one is the "you must be crazy" setting. I took my temps without plants, with them in there I'm actually holding at 68 ºƒ. Hopefully my exhaust fan doesn't decide to break unexpectedly. Is there such a thing as too much light?

Your plants are looking real nice. Do you have any cal/mag? If so, I'd give them a shot. In the pictures it looks like a little yellowing starting on some of the bigger fan leaves.

Nice grow. I am also growing some Purple Mazars. They are about 5 weeks old now. I´ll may post some pics to you. I have some questions about this strain. And i understand that you have some experience with the PM?
