New Grower 2nd grow, Purple Mazar again!

Thanks dude! Nah the male was green too, but the purple hints that happened in the females didn't occur 'till later in the grow and the male had a pretty short life. At what point do Jems show color? I've got 4 breeder seeds left, going to give them a go next time.

well i grew some pm over the summer out of 10 i had 8 female and only 1 turned purple
and 1 male had some slight purple
the jems I've grown turned purple shortly after they started flowering except 1 that turn in the last couple weeks of its life.

I put probably 2 tbs in each 3 gal pot before I planted a week or so ago. I can't get dolomite lime. This is a granulated fast acting lime, though it doesn't dissolve very readily. Ph is up a bit from where it started. Do you think I should do one more run off test next watering with plain h20 and wait for the following to add lime, or just add lime preemptively ?

After getting a good look at my cabinet space I'm starting to worry about a 400w hps and fire. I should have gone for a 250 but I intend to upgrade my grow room soon enough and didn't want that to be underpowered.
My cab is 2' deep 4' tall 3' wide. My carbon scrubber and exhaust use about 10" of space up top so my light will be within a couple inches of the co2 scruubber's pre filter. Also at full plant height there'll be about 8" between the canopy and the light. I can make a dedicated exhaust for the light itself to keep ambient temps in check, but I am worried about how close it'll be to the scrubber and fire.
How hot will a cool tube get? should I reconfigure the scrubber and fan to be outside the cabinet? I'd be giving up on it being stealth which I can live with though I'd prefer not to. Or should I wait till I build my upgrade to use the light?

hey savoy, i dunno a whole lot about cool tubes but if i was you i wouldnt use it untill the upgrade is ready. it does look a little tight in there for a 400w and putting yourself in danger just wouldnt be worth it. rule #2 ... safety first 
Early plant probs
So I checked the grow today and saw some issues.
Here's the deal:
Soil was 6.17ph last water, it got 1tsp grow big, it'll be 3-4 more days 'till next water. The plant is about a month old, and has been in pre flower/flower for about 2 weeks.
Leaf tips are curling all over and there's maybe 5 leaves that look like this. My other plant has one similar spot on it.
The self diagnosis info leads me to either nut burn, or mg def. I don't feel like only 1 1/4 strength feeding at week 4=nute burn, and the mg lockout I had last time didn't look like this, it was spotty not on leaf tips. So I am stuck and need a little input.
