I have 3 plants (60 day wonder) in organic bio bizz all mix, under a 250 hps bulb and three sides are mylamar reflective foil.

1/ They are 2-3 inches with a few sets of leaves and i have them 2 feet from the bulb.

2/ I am still undecided on the light regime 24 or 20/4? I open the door to the balcony a couple of times a day and run a fan for half hour.

3/ When do i start to add nutes (I am using bio bizz, flower and veg)

4/ Will puting them in bright sunlight (hence less cost for lighting) on good days confuse them.

cheers

ok

20/4 IMO plants need some darkness...

now... 1/4 strength for the first week then 1/2 for the next then, full power

you must harden off.. or they will burn... start with 1-2 hrs full sun and work your way up...

1/ this isn't really a question, but I have mine very close to my 150W hps so I would advise moving your light a bit closer. However I do have a spuper spreader and a fan blowing over it. I would strongly recommend a super spreader as I have mine 5-10cm from the bulb and it's a small plant and it's loving it.

2/ like cres says, 20/4 is probably better. I have mine on 24-7 because using a timer in holland makes you more professional in the eyes of the law and therefore more illegal.

3/ Cres's advice is sound, but when to actually to start adding nutes in the first place depends on your soil and I don't know anything about bio bizz soil... sorry.

4/ go with cres on this one cos i'm not sure haha.

Peace

Thank you both, i guess its trial and error. I will move the light a little closer, maybe 12 inches? and then i will check them every hour just to make sure they are not being burnt.

Sounds like a plan. By the way I had to move my light up a bit cos it was a bit too hot for the girls, no burning just too hot. It's now about 15-20cm, so 12 inches should be fine. I had a 600W closer than that before and it was fine.

All the best

Brilliant, i moved the light today and i am checking every hour or so, things look ok at the moment. I was going to move them into a small greenhouse on my balcony when the sun starts to shine a bit (soon i hope as the weather here in london is shite) and then put 3 more under the light. Will this work or will the sudden change kill/stump them?
cheers
