New Grower 250W HPS - Auto Bomb by Bomb seeds, Pineapple Express Auto by barney's farm

HELLO AFN!!! :clap:

I go by the name of Budman. i have my set up at my aunties house in the mountains of cuncorbia about 4 miles from where i am and visit there 3 or 4 times a week/ daily to attend to the girls. i get on well with my aunty and she respects the medicinal uses i have for cannabis. :coffe:

i use medicinal cannabis for the following reasons/illnesses:

-insomnia
-depression (appetite loss, anger, self isolation etc..)
-anxiety

i have NOT found many strains (from dealers) in the past that have medicated me sucessfully but a couple have.

i have grown twice before both autos, with poor set ups and resulted in poor quality and yeild yer i know i should of waited until i had a full set up but hey-ho the road goes on...

im an organic man so i like to remain that way if and when possible


SO... heres what i have.

-1x pineapple express auto, 1x auto bomb
-DR60
-250w HPS (euro reflector, dual specturm sunmaster bulb)
-4" TT outtake fan with carbon filter
-4" cheap intake fan
-10" oscillating fan in tent
-7.5 litre pots
-biobizz all mix soil + bio bloom nutes
-black strap molasses
-ph meter, ph down

sorted the seeds yesterday, for germination my favorite way is the moist paper towl method. seems to work for me (with viable seeds)

today the bomb has cracked so moistened the soil in the 7.5 litre pots and popped her in the tent with cling film over the top for humidity, and a book shading it from the brightness of the hps. ive seen alot of people starting off with cfl's but i just dont have any so went for the warm tent with the hps and exhaust.

thats all i have so far and am yet to sort out a camera for pictures. i could get one within a few days so i will do if need be.

hope i havent missed anything here as im new to the online log thing. so any help is good help. and also im very open to anyone that would like to correct me in my wrongs, i hope ive got it but feel free to chuck ya p's in

anyways il stop for now because ive probably written to much, bored the shit out of you hahaha.

hello to all auto-heads!! heres a quick update:

I forgot to mention in my previous post that im running them on a 22/2 light schedule, reason being is i havent seen a looged grow online with this and thought about trying it. has anyone experimented with this before with auto? if yes would be top notch if you could let me know how it turned out

as i stands today the bomb has just popped her head above ground so thats be 'DAY 1 BOMB' (very exiting stuff)

the pineapple has yet to crack in the tissue... im not sure weather to go for it and pop her in the soil or wait until i see a sign of life first..? any ideas?

i have it in tissue, in a bag, between plates, raised slightly above a vivarium heat mat.

last night i put a northern light blue in a tissue (not sure if auto or photo as got it from another medicinal grower who wasnt sure either)
anyway she cracked overnight and is in the dirt today with clear plastic film over the top for humidity once again.

any help atall would be cool. thanks for reading

thanks for the replies,

i have had 99.9% sucess with the germination method i use (baring in mind i have only ever attempted to crack 6 seeds in my time on the earth) this is the first time ive failed, ive read a few bad things about barneys farm seeds and i hope their not true... e.g sending out the same strain to get rid of stock and rhumers like that.

what method do you use?
do you get a high sucess rate?
im a little skeptical to try any other methods incase of F'in them up. Ha

sorting a camera on sunday so will get round and take some pics for you to check out sunday night.

also i have a 'kannabia gnomo auto' on the go. to be honest i didnt really want to log it because i started it in cheap multi purpose compost, without a ph stick. but i may aswell put it on here as it may produce something worth while, who knows.
its on its first week of flower and is still only very small probably no more than 6 inches in height
i understand autos are usually short plants but man come on...?

since buying my digital ph test stick ive found that the ph on the soil of the 'gnomo' is high, ab round 7.8 with a run off of 7.3 so with the last watering i gave her a ph'd water of 5.8 in hope of lowering the soils ph and in effect lowering the run off wich then read 6.4.

would that be a good way to go about lowering the soils ph?
will the ph just go back to 7.8 after a while?
or is there a more effective way to lower ph without putting a low ph water through it every time?

This is the first crucial mistake most of us do on the first run. You must first sort your soil ph and THEN plant. "ph-ing" your watering will not affect your soil's ph. Adding organic matter should help bring ph down over time, or find some elemental sulfur to add. Ph-ing your soil after you plant is a tricky business

I germ straight in the soil with very high germ rates, but the paper towel works just fine. Give it a few more days.

il have a search on google for the stuff.
would you reccommend it best to always water with the correct ph then regardless of the soil ph and run off?
im not 100% sure what the ph of the 'multi purpose' soil was in the first place so could it be a build up of 'un' ph'd water and crap from that?
i suppose i can be greatful my pineapple and bomb are in the perfectly ph'd biobizz soil.

Is your cheap compo pre-ferted...?
coz I grow in cheap compo all the time and I never have a problem.

Something is Really wrong if your run off is so high...sounds like a build up of toxins somewhere..so my first step would be to completely flush them on tap water only for a few days.

LOTS of water..to flush any problems out..make sure the pot is fully hydrated..no dry spots...

see if that clears it..

il have a better look around and hopefully make a few grow buddies yes i think it is pre ferted but not 100% sure bud .

il start a flush tomorrow aswell and hope that sorts the problem out.
