24/7 T5 or 12/12 600HPS

How do everyone.. im new to autos (im not really a seasoned grower in general) so I signed up to get some info and advice..


I popped a RQ’s Auto NL freebie I received just out of curiosity while my photos where in flower.. she’s on week 6 and is under my 96w Maxibright T5 with a few mothers.. I know I won’t be getting much but like I said it was a freebie so just a test run..

Sooo...

Should I leave her under my 6500K 24w x4 tubes 24/7 or stick her raised up and central to my pineapple chunks under 600w hps 12/12?

She’s sitting in BB light mix and getting 1ml grow 2ml bloom every 3 days.. I underfed at the start but new growth is coming through greener.. the pots too small I know but its all I had at the time..

Im hoping to eventually grow a few tasty strains amongst my photos If I can work out the best way... I have a bunch of Barney’s Farms Purple Punch autos and 12ltr fabrics pots waiting to pop and house somewhere!

Seeing as how autos will flower without any change to their photo period, a 12/12 cycle will drastically reduce it's vegetative growth potential. My seedlings get 24/0 for the few days/fist week then I switch to 20/4 under my 3500K....Just my 2 cents

I run every plant I grow, autos and photos under 100w of T5 for approx 3 weeks, then move to a flower tent running 12/12...less cost far exceeds loss of yeild. I grow in 2 ltr pots with an avg 2 oz per plant and don't feel I've missed anything.

I was worried the 6500k would be a big issue..

I will stick her under my hps then I think

My T5s are also 6500...with my 12/12 tent all 3500... There is a delay of growth when I change over but they respond according to actual age. I found that the older a seedling, the better they transition to the different spectrum. Moving from 6500 to 6500 may benefit vegging so you may wanna add some 3500 in the near future.

Coming into week 8.. I ended up having to leave her in my veg tent due to my pineapple chunks exploding so theres no room to fit anything else in..

she got 1ml Biobizz grow / 2.5ml bloom and a little epsom salts today..

wondering when to start laying off the grow? And also whats everyones opinion on flushing as theres conflicting info online!

Flushing or not ..... easy to differentiate...flush chemical nutes, but organics don't need it except for some personal reason....
I simply reduce or stop nutes the last couple of weeks.
