Mephisto Genetics 2015 Mephisto Meds Farm

Thanks, Mitch! I'm sure the LEDS play a big part in it. I typically leave my light at a set height throughout the entire grow, while Tang and other LED users raise they're lights as the plants stretch vertically. I may try that on my next round.

Cheers!

RE: LEDs/distance from plant - I start far, 18 to 20" and let the plant grow to the light basically until it gets to 8-10 inches...maintain that gap
until final 3 weeks or so then close it into around 6" Each light is different though, seems like the weaker ones can get closer, obviously.

Did subcool dis our babies? It takes balls to grow autoflowers! Just wait till we get the autos
up there in the 28% range.. as good as any of his (which are awesome) if not better!

I had a test grower for subcool here at the end of my last grow and he was blown away at the first
autos he had seen. He took a boat load of pictures and I am hoping one of them ends up in one of the magazines he contributes to. You all will be first to know!

Ha! Take that SubCool! Mephisto will make him eat his words about autoflowers!

I started with mine 34" above the soil and raised them to 38" a few weeks ago. In the SoG tent the lights have stayed 40" above the soil the whole time and the plants directly under the light seem to love it. Coverage around the edges still leaves something to be desired. I used to lower my lights during flowering as well, but after the bleaching I got last round I'm a bit nervous about doing so again.

If I'm not mistaken Sub said something about autos being in the same category as feminized seeds, where he views them as a bastardization of cannabis. I'm sure there will be TGA based autos in the near future. Cool to hear about the test grower enjoying your autos!

People who don't respect auto's are just self-defined "Kings of the Hill" that are afraid everyone is about to
change hills.

When people bash autos I just laugh. I laugh when I mix my soil, I laugh when I germinate my seeds, I laugh as they grow healthy and strong, I laugh while I'm trimming my beautiful big buds, and I laugh while I smoke them. Multiple times I have had people smoke my auto buds and tell me how it's the best pot they have ever smoked in their entire life. My wife doesn't like smoking other people's poorly bred/grown garbage and has informed me that I ruined other pot for her, and I did it with autos. I have helped people grow their own cannabis by giving them auto seeds, and by helping them set a plot up in their garden. They say the best pot they smoked was the first plant they grew... an auto.

Just laugh at anyone who trashes auto plants, what else do you do with the village fool? Enjoy their Luddite like approach to the amazing advances people have been making, and laugh the whole way.

Mitch, it was a pleasure watching your grows over the years over at ICmag before you started showing here, and it's been a pleasure watching you set up your company. Keep growing and laughing, I'm getting a lifetime of chuckles watching it happen.

Here's Subcool talking about autoflowers at 5 minutes 15 seconds in:

What an over-simplified take on something different...

It's almost as though he's biased to think that the only reason Autos exist is for speed...
Like that's their only goal. Like I said, self-proclaimed kings of the hill afraid of people
changing hills.

The plants and the high speak for themselves.

Here's how it's going to go...

If you grow as a hobbyist or to supply your own meds...

you're going to grow autos. They're easier to control, they offer
broader variety as a result of size and speed. Quicker turn around
and less time to muddle something up.

If you grow for the gray or black market or grow commercially,
as a care provider or are limited to Guerrilla Outdoor...

you're going to grow photos to insure yield numbers.

The dispensaries (medical and recreational) will most often (99% of the time)
offer photo buds. Maybe an auto will sneak in here and there as they do
on coffee house menus. As they get better and better (and already are, really)
people are going to begin to prefer them as a result of perceived scarcity,
(and actual scarcity) as something rare and more precious to be enjoyed
while it's around.

Small-batch, Connoisseur, Premium Cannabis for the discerning partaker.
Just like beer...Macroschwag vs. Craftbeer.

And then there will be the Masters that grow and respect both.
