Hi Autoflower Dudes. Many thanks for all the help and advice is received during my last grow. It all helped and improved the yield and quality of my end smoke!
After good success with my last TD in a 20ltr Oxt pot I was considering trying to make a re-circulating system. In the end I just doubled the res volume enabling the res to hold more root mass. The root ball in my last grow of TD, was filling the bottom 13 litres of the bucket.
Also when the roots became more established I found that removing the reservoir for a res wash and nutrients change became quite tricky as the roots would grow around, under and into anything in the re tank.
To try and combat this I am permanently fixing 2 ceramic stones and 2 silicon diffusers to the bottom of the tanks with aquarium silicon.
The air diffusers will be fed with 2 Haliea ACO-9610 air pumps. Only 2 outlet from each will be run at a time to give me some redundancy in the air system. the reason for this is that in my last grow, 2 of the 4 outlets did fail.
The other main difference is that I am switching from Advanced nutrients to genesis nutes. I am not sure if its a good idea as my last TD yielded 350 grams. That was VERY dry. Time will tell. lol
The plants are starting life under a 250 watt CFL and in due course will be scrogged and switched to 2 400 watt HPS bulbs in cool tubes.
