well ive seen both the light warrior and happy frog... but happy frog was in like a bail i think..is fox farm your soil of choice for noobs like me???you guys are the freakin best man....feel like i cant go wrong, thanks again

I use Pro Mix myself so am not familiar with how packages their soil. Far as I know, it's loose fill bags.

is fine to get started with. It already contains everything you need to get started so you don't have to worry about mixing anything else in.

grow room update

alright where here it is.. i know that the pics are not in order and i apologize still learning, the camo is the entrance to my grow room, tried to add a litlle stealth. the light im using is a 400watt mh for veg..and a 400watt hps for flowering. the small cups i was gonna start seeds in fox farm light warrior and then transplant to ocean forsest(not sure if this is good idea??) the small hole in floor is to outside im not sure if i pull air in from there or inside the room????if there cant bugs get right into my room??i kind of confused on the whole intake exshaust thing...and Im on a small budget so any info there would be great..also should i have air blowing threw those ports next to light..also i dont have a good filter,so some good suggestions on those would be great also.

Also at night here it can get into the fortys do i need small heater in my tent when the lights are off, i know this is alot and im sorry..any help from the pros would be greatly appericated.....could not do it without you guys

also i will be using alll fox farm nutes. i cant help but feel like this is not enough light, but then again what the hell do i know...lol but for the space i guess that is plenty for five autos. thanks again

The 400 watt light will be just fine for that size tent. I would draw your air from inside the room, not from outdoors unless you find that the room is too warm and you have problems keeping your temperatures in check. Does that room have heat and A/C? What is the normal temperature in that room?

I would install a 4" carbon filter to control the smell. Even though your hood is 6", you can buy an adapter that will drop it from 6 to 4". I would install the filter, then run a piece of flexible duct to one end of the hood, then another piece of duct from the hood to your exhaust fan, then another piece of duct to the exhaust port on the tent. That way you are pulling it through the filter, then the hood, then out. This will remove the odors as well as vent the heat from your light. There are several ways you can start your seedlings. I prefer to start them in pots that a big enough for the first 3 weeks or so, until they sex. I then transplant them into their final pots. Or you could use the tiered method. Basically it's where you start in a smaller container like a 32 oz. cup, then when you are ready to go into the final pots you just cut the bottom out of the cup and set it several inches deep into your final pot.

well got my seeds and im using the paper towel method....they have been germ, for about 24hrs. but when i came home from work paper towel was dry wet it back down but not soaked will they be ok or should i put them in the soil right away no tap root yet... i have three russian rocket fuel and three bhd,about how long should they take.

I always start my seeds directly in the soil, just preference, I know a ton of people that start in paper towels as well. Try not to let the seeds dry out when germing. As for your temp, ideal is 75 during light cycle and 70's during dark cycle.

Hey bro! Muddy definitely has you covered. Since I use Happy Frog and also used Ocean Forest I would recommend mixing some Ocean Forest with the Light Warrior. You want to get the best possible start with Autos because any little hiccup along the way will affect the final result. Light Warrior can be too light for Cannabis in my opinion. Especially if you plan to tier from LW to OF... You will go light to very hot and I'm concerned that may not be very good for a beginner.

I too use the PT method and get very good germ rates. Sounds like you got a great start so far and got your set up rockin'!

ok so im drawing my air from the outside and its 50 degressF.. it might get done to fortys.right now the temp inside my tent is 70,went down to 65 with lights off is this ok...should i draw the air from the inside of the room and maybe set small heater up????? how is the air fresh if its not coming from outside??? sorry for all the questions,any help would be great.thanks and hope everyone had good day!
