Indoor 1st Grow! Dutch Passion Think Different & Big Buddha Cheese. LED/CFL. Soil.

This little dehumidifier arrived today. Took the RH from 75% to 50% in a couple of hours....Cost about $50.

Fed 1/4 strength today. Thelma is a heavier feeder by 1/2. I pulled the dead leaves off the bottom and keep tucking away. Here they are day 65:

Yer gonna be happy with yer results! Folks who give a shit make me proud!

Sawbones,
Are you 'bubbling' yer feed water which you leave out to eliminate chlorine? Adding additional oxygen to your feed?...If so, the oxygen will RAISE the pH reading. My 2nd grow (currently underway) is 'organic' in my own soil mix. How do you handle your water? As an experiment, I placed two water containers side by side, one with bubbler, one without. Bubbler reads 8.02pH. Without bubbler, 7.62. Not sure what to do with this knowledge OR how to use it. Ideas?

Hmmm. Interesting. I do not aerate my water currently. I thought about doing that so I can mix bigger batches of nutrients and keep them longer than an hour. I would think that the higher PH has something to do with aeration effecting the Carbon Dioxide, but I'm no scientist!

Eggman,

Do you have to adjust PH once you've added nutrients?

Absolutely! Although I've changed my technique, I always adjust the pH at the end of mixing my witches brew. I also let it sit for about 10 minutes and check and adjust again...as, on occasion the pH will want to jump back up.

Throughout the first 90% of my grow, I added cal/mag, then pH'ed, then all the other nutrients. Adjusted pH again. Then for some reason, or because I read it from two different sources...I began adding cal/mag LAST, then pHing at the end. Don't know if it made a difference, but I used LESS pH Down using the latter method.

Interesting....I use General Hydroponics GO box nutes and I was adjusting PH at first too. I haven't done that in quite a while though.

Day 70. Think Different & Cheese...Cruising right along

Optimal conditions in the grow room! 40% RH, 80 degrees, lots of air flow...Feeding both every day to runoff with GH GO Box nutes. Started week 10 today (Bio Bloom & Cal Mg only).

Thelma - Think Different. Still feeding about 1/2 X more than Louise. Probably has 10 days or so to go?
