Bought two seeds knowing virtually nothing about growing weed. Did a bit of research and started the grow outdoors in two 5 gal cloth pots in Erin multipurpose compost and perlite mix. However coming into autumn and the weather being so variable at the moment got me worried about them and have brought them indoors into a mars hydro tent and under TS1000 light.

Environment at the moment in the tent at 50% RH and I have a ceramic fan heater that turns on/off automatically with temps ranging between 21 and 24 C. Small fan to circulate. I have left all the vents open at the moment and haven't activated the extractor fan yet as humidity is right. The tent is in an outdoor study with windows open to let in fresh air.

I had the lights on at 100% at the recommended distance but have noticed the top leaves on the American Pie starting to turn up a bit. Worried about light burn and have turned them down to 80%.
Just given them their first feed of Biobizz at half dose in ph balanced water.

Both have started to flower.

Reaching up to the light is not a problem. Hang those lights at 18" and run them 100% you will not burn the plants. The PPFD in the center at 18" is only 743 anything under 1000 is not a problem. Plants look good :clapper:

Great, thanks for the feedback. I wasnt sure if it was the light or it it was just because they where new leaves.

Day 28
I have done some LST on the Blue Dream. Just pulled the American Pie over slightly to increase light but didnt bend her over.

Welcome to AFN to you and your plants. :jump: They look nice and healthy. I am new to indoors under the lights, only 2 grows, the first I did about everything wrong.
PH of the water you use is important. If too high or too low, there can be nutrient lockout. :wall:
You may need supplemental nutrients as well. I don't know where you are located.
If you are in the states, Greenleaf nutrients is one I started using after seeing multiple growers on here using it with great results. And I follow the lead of more experienced growers, using around 50% of the recommended amount.

:weed:Good luck to you on your first grow:weed:

I am using Biobizz Bloom at 50% and they have had two feeds with it so far. I think that discolouration on the one leaf is from a foliage spray I used a couple of weeks back and might have overdone it.
Havent heard of Greenleaf before but will look into it thanks.

I have bought some PH down as the water out my tap is roughly around 8 - 8.5. I fill up a big bucket, correct the ph and then let it sit. Apparently this also helps with chlorine evaporation.

DAY 33
They are doing well. Getting a water every other day when the soil starts to dry out a bit. Humidity is creeping up a bit in the tent and getting into the 70%. Not too worried at this early stage but have a dehumidifier arriving next week. Raised the Blue dream'atic to be a similar height as the American pie which hasnt been trained.
American Pie is growing so fast. Have to keep rising the light.

Blue dream has some nut burn on the leaves as I spilled a bit of water on them when watering.

Killed two fungus gnats in the tent today. Obviously haven't been letting the soil dry out enough between watering sessions.
I have removed the top inch or two of soil and replaced it. Hopefully got any eggs that where laid.
