1st Auto Grow (Week 5 no flowers)

Yes if they are white light especially 6000k, 5000k, etc. To an extent (generalization) it is all about photons. Another generalization is watts per sf. Add all of your wattage and divide by the sf of your area. 35 watts is really good. I'm at 43.75 which may actually be high. At the moment I still have room to adjust my lights higher height wise. If I see any taco leaves I raise my lights. Just to be clear there is nothing wrong with the King. It will grow good bud and many Growers have had and are having great success with that type of light. I was trying to get you off on the best foot. I really look forward to seeing what you do in the future. Great job so far!
I definitely appreciate it. Im taking notes and will upgrade again soon.. just had to do something fast to save the current grow asfter i found out the other light were BS.im listening though

Has anyone using the FLora Flex V1 & V2. I changed to this after using General Hydroponics for 10 years.
I have used it. It works decently. Clean in rez. FLORA FLEX manifold is the best part of their set up. Other than that it is just a timer/pump set up tbst anyone csn put together for a fraction of the price. I still have a ton of the Coco bricks thst came with the kits I bought. They were worth the price when I got them on sale. The nutes worked well. But honestly I got sick of powders and Green Planet liquid nutes gave me a better finsl product in Coco vs Flor Flex. I still.have some powder will.use it up someday...maybe. good luck, slow

Blurples are out dated and not as energy efficient. That being said, they actuaully tend to keep plants shorter thsn COBS. So having a mix of Blurples might be a good thing for some people and some strains. The issue is that you have lots of good choices on lights now, and I am really digging my Samsung light strips. But they are STRONG! Adjustable power is a must. Peace, slow.

I'm thinking of dumping the HPS and going with this> HLG R Spec 26x20x3 550R V2 Spec; 500w power draw (dimmable to 40w), 1000W SE HID replacement. Flower Footprint: 4.5' x 4.5', Veg Footprint: 6' x 6'. Each HLG-550 V2 uses 4 custom designed full-spectrum high efficiency white light quantum boards with Samsung LM301H and Deep Red LED 660nm for enhanced flowering. Any opinions??

That is 800 bucks + if I remember correctly you can build it for 500-600 ish. The new Samsung strips have an incredible 2.96 efficacy.

if you are interested in a DIY there is plenty of help here. You don't need any real skills in electronics or mechanical inclination. It's a screwdriver and a pait of wire strippers. Its color by numbers easy. Hardest part is research.

OK, it would save me around $300 since I'm currently not employed based off this "Pandemic". I recently worked for a Chinese company that let me go before this happened. They probably already knew about it last year September time. Anyway...
@TxRebel/Mark may be able to help you. He just speced out a really nice light.
