I have a few questions about the contest. I only grow in a 3x3 tent and dwc gets big. It's not possible for me to do 3 plants at a time in that size tent. Does that mean I can't enter the contest?

Also, how will the winners be determined? Will it be by member votes? will they have guidelines? Basically what I'm asking is if someone grows a great beast of a plant will they have higher chance of winning or will it be popularity contest? will the plant actually matter?

Thanks for doing this btw, sounds like an awesome idea. I tend to never want to try for anything like this because zero faith lol.

This looks like a fun contest but it took me ages to be able to post a picture never mind a video!
Maybe some of the tech minded moderators could put up 'how to post videos' thread in the site tutorial section- might give more people the confidence to enter the contest.
Also @FastBuds will the contest be judged by overall journal like the mega grow journal was.

Thanks for asking, mates.

Well, the idea is give value to all: the grow journal itself, the plants, the grower and the final video you come up with. Obviously, we consider we can get a good video of a bad plant and viceversa or a better or worse journal.

We planned to explain the rest of the contest when the next step is announced. But yes, we can say in advance we'll make a member poll where they'll have to rate 4 facets: The grow journal, the plants themselves, the video's execution and grower's creativity. (We'll need moderator's help for that, no worries).

@sanguine, Yes, it would be great the moderators could set up a thread for the tech-novices be able to create a video. It's easy and there are lots of apps to do it, so don't be scared for that. Otherwise, youtube allows you to mount and upload a video easily.

@Anasazi, don't worry about that. It's the most flexible rule of all and we consider having one plant growers (or continous grow). All you have to do is indicating this fact in the private message you'll send for the admission request and we'll take it in count. Obviously, we and you'll see "one-plant" requests are not cheating when they post the journal reports. [We'll modify this rule right now to allow growers like you to take part on it without fear].

Thanks mates, great help here. :cool1::greenthumb:
We'll tune up a great show all together! :headbang:
