Sour stomper x double grape grow report

Medium: HP Pro Mix

Pot size: 3.6 gallons

Nutrients: salt based

Light: 240 watt LED

2x4 tent

Germination

Took my favorite seed out of the two, I sprayed the cotton pad with some tap water and put in a plastic bag on top of a heat mat with the temperature set to 82.4 degrees. 48 hours later I had a tap root that was about 2mm long, so I decided to fill my 3.6 gallon pot with some Pro mix HP, I made a hole and planted the seed, sprayed it with some tap water and put a humidity dome on top. The next day was day one.

Veg period

Week 1: I started off by giving her a very small amount of nutrients, seeing as the medium I use is inert. But I give them around 250 ppm with a ph of 6.2. They grew nice and she grew healthy, no obvious signs of stress or stunting. Normal growth.

Week 2: in the second week, her laterals were growing strong already, she had a very cabbage, right internode spacing, and short branches, indicative of an Indica plant structure. I started leaf tucking immediately, to get those laterals higher, I also started increasing the nutrient amount, and I had no signs of over feeding. It responded well to the nutrients.

Week3: this one grew really big during veg, it exploded with growth around this time, compared to the other plants in the tent, she grew vigorously and strong, large fan leaves and medium internodal spacing, very hybrid plant structure.

At this point I’m giving her around 600 ppm of total nutrients, veg specific while trying to keep my PH in a range of 6.

Week 4: in early week 4 she decided to show pistils and she began to explode, loads of foliage and branches coming out of nowhere, so I decided to start training the branches, I removed any side shoots and topped the plants, furthermore I tied down the branches to even out the canopy: as pre flower starts hitting I typically give them some extra cal mag and I start watering until I I get run off to measure.

Pre flower period

Week 5: around this time I left for a trip, so I left her fate in the hands of a family member, while I was away their was a really bad heat wave and she wasn’t watered enough, when I came home she had crispy deformed leaves and some healthy ones, she wasn’t a lost cost and she had transitioned directly into flower.

Week 6: now she’s in early to mid flower, and she’s fully bounced back, she’s stretched nicely and the training is seeming to work, she’s didn’t have any signs of stunting or stress. And at this point theirs already a strong smell of straight up grape soda.

Week 7: her buds are developing nicely, they have some spiral pattern going on with the pistils, I was also noting the purple tips of the buds, and the stacks were stacking nicely. I removed most of the bottom growth, and left the top third in hopes of refocusing on all of its energy on the top buds, when I do this typically get a really nice yield. And the smell of grape is getting stronger. It’s about 2.5 ft tall at this point.

Week 8: these buds are swelling, and packing on trichomes, it felt like every time I opened the tent these greasy frost covered buds were bigger and I could tell the density was like a rock. For a freebie I was incredibly impressed with its vigour and resilience and unique grape soda and cotton candy aroma. At this point I’m giving it mainly cal mag and bloom nutrients, watering every 2 days, I was giving it about 1.5 gallons of water every two days as soon as the roots hit the bottom. She drank fast.

Week 9: now I can tell this specimen is ready we’re on day 74 and the trichomes are turning amber and are mostly cloudy I can tell the chop is coming, the training worked, I’ve got nothing but golf balls and main colas of nothing but purple and vibrant green buds coated in beautiful smelly cannabinoids. So I chop her down, not without a fight tho, for a plant only 2.7 ft tall she had a stock built like a light post.

Dry/cure cycle

I chopped it whole and removed most of all the fan leaves but left the leaves around the buds alone. I hung it for 7 days and then I started trimming. It was a fairly easy trim as there wasn’t much foliage in the buds it was all Bud! I put some ina grove bag and the rest in jars, two weeks later it smells like grape cough syrup with undertones of gas and vanilla and an overtone of I want to say cotton candy! Every time I crack the jar; all I can think is Yum. Wish I could live in that jar!

Yield: 6.1 ounces.

Smoke report

For a hybrid, it’s leaning towards the Indica side, it taste just like it smells, with an exhale of cotton candy. Now that buzz is very strong, I a little goes a long way in the case of the sour stomper x double grape. I haven’t slept as good as I had until I smoked this specimen. Even at two weeks of curing it’s fairly tasty and smooth. It’d be nice to see this strain as a full installation being the parent strain of the classic Mephisto’z.

Thank you

I love that you just pop out with fully completed grows instead of posting as they grow. :flexed_biceps:t2::raised_fist:t2:
