Im running out of advice bud. Just being blunt and honest this grow has been a disaster from the start and at this point its just chasing your tail. My plan of action would be to stop with the extra lights. Your plant is in no shape to process extra lighting. I would shutoff the autopots and let the pots dryback until they are light to pick up. Then hand water the rest of the way with light bloom nutes. I would only use big bud and not go over 0.8 ec. Id probably aim for 0.5-0.6ec.
In the future you might follow the manufacturers recommended feeding schedule. At least until you have your bearings then start playing with things. Something important with autos is to be ahead of the plant. Meaning you dont want to be reacting to symptoms. You need to be aware of the current stage and when a plant is about to transition to the next stage. That way you can be providing the nutes right before and during that change.
Could just be senescence, it happens towards the middle to end of flowering on every plant. Some pants senescence is more extreme than others, if it ain’t that I’d say maybe N deficiency. This late I would not worry about shit anymore, you’re almost to the end and they will finish fine if you just keep them lightly fed and properly ph’d a without any extra light. I honestly think chasing every leaf that’s discolored is a waste of time you said you were spraying your plants that can cause all kinds of ugly leaf issues. The plants look fine, not perfect, but better than a lot ove seen with actual bad problems . Next round choose a strain aimed at beginners, Dream Beans has a new one called Icy Tardigrade that is supposed to be unkillable lol
@Derek420Colorado was talking about it in the live stream the other day! He said it’s super resistant to anything and even beginners can grow massive frost dripping terpy plants! It’s his first foray into strains for “beginners” as he said he considers most of his strains easy to grow, but there was requests for a beginner specific strain.
I wish grow difficulty had been discussed before I ordered seeds and planted them lol. The next strain is going to be rainbow sherbet by Barney’s farm - it’s not specifically a beginner strain, but it’s not difficult either, they call it moderate. But it’s photo so I don’t need to predict when to switch to bloom nutrients, I can actually get my timing down I think that’ll help me understand timing a little better.
And then after that, I have gnome genetics anvil which I would’ve grown before sherbert but, the sherbet’s already sprouted, and getting her first set of serrated leaves after the cotyledons. Thank you!
All the differences in genetics is what makes growing so fun. Blue Dog is kinda picky and mine is showing signs but I havent been panicking. Jumping the gun with knee jerk reactions will get me in more trouble.
The last few days Ive been making small adjustments and giving them time to take affect. My go to first move at sign of trouble is lower the lights so the plant doesnt have to work as hard.
While Im adjusting lights I double check my environment, temps and rh%. VPD like the lights controls how hard the plant works. A lower vpd(more moisture) means the plant isnt working to move nutes and higher(drier) means shes trying to move more nutes. So I want the right range for the stage of the plant but if I lower my lights then I also want the VPD on the low end of that scale.
Next would be to look at the canopy making sure it has good airflow so the plant can transpire properly.
Root zone Ph and temps would be the next place to look. Depending on growing method this number varies and can be easy or moderately difficult to detect and adjust. Ph and VPD issues can look a lot alike but VPD is easier to check and adjust.
This is assuming the plant has been fed based on some kind of successful schedule. A lot of time the nutes are there and the issue is that the plant cant process it.
Here are some pics of my problems. Hard to have perfect plants every run unless you grow the same strains over and over. Really dial things in.
That photo will give you the time to fix any issues before you flip to flower. They are a little more forgiving than autos. You going to have a journal for it?
Growing buds, stacking frost, looking good homie! And dude, I had plants that don’t look perfect lots of times, the thing that helped me is that I basically have to power thru it. I usually run about 5-6 different strains at a time. They all get fed from the same mix, I don’t have the time to customize any recipes. I found a good one that works and that’s good enough. But from what Ive seen, when plants start showing problems in the leaves if I know I’m feeding them and treating them right they always finish with awesome buds! Chasing problems for me only created more problems, like lockouts and shit. I did the research and built a light but very complete feeding plan, and that’s what they get. You can check out my journals, I like to think my plants are pretty nice . One warning tho, I don’t grow monsters. I keep my plants size limited by the size of their pot so I can grow many strains in a small area.
Im familiar with your journals. Youve been on every one of my logs so I’ve read through them for the most part. It would be hard for me to do it the way you do it, but It would be nice to have less of one strain and more of multiple strains. I suppose if I get into breeding that would be that way to do it since I don’t have a ton of space
I’m not happy with what I did. I moved the more mature plants into a smaller tent to give the rainbow sherbet space to grow. But the humidifier was the wrong kind of humidifier and it doesn’t go by VPD, which is fine because I don’t even need it since the plants are perspiring so much it’s keeping the VPD at .9. And I can’t seem to keep up.
I have a dehumidifier, but I don’t wanna run it at this stage because it’s gonna make the room hotter. So at the beginning of next month, I’m gonna buy an AC unit and stick it in the grow room that way, I can get the temperature and humidity down for flowering and drying
got the VPD right. The fade is setting in really hard on one of the plants, I feel like it’s partly a deficiency; I suspect the nutrients from the rabbit poop have been consumed because the run off EC is the same as the water being fed to it now. But this wasn’t the case initially, the run off EC was much higher than the water that was fed initially.
I’m not going to chase anything. I’m just going to let them finish.
A week ago they stopped growing taller and started swelling so I followed the instructions and removed sensei bloom and switched to overdrive. But wtf is this? Theres no micronutrients?? wtf am I suposed to do? Google says run overdrive WITH BLOOM. But the instructions on bloom say to remove 2 weeks prior to harvest which is the same time overdrive says to start itself.
Why is this so confusing? I dislike AN more and more each grow.
Wait a minute. Bloom a or b is almost exactly the same NPK but it HAS micronutrients. So stupid. Wtf is the point of that crap? Oh they sold me another product. Soo now I can go home and dump out the reservoir to switch for the bloom with micros
