Cubensis mushrooms for medical use

@SAWNEY-BEAN, yeah I’ve seen Uncle Ben’s tek in action, and I’ve been tempted. From what I’ve seen, the actual brand doesn’t matter, as long as it’s plain brown rice in microwave pouches.

Other brands work just as well, if not, better, and they come in larger sizes, like 450g and 500g instead of 250g.

As always with inoculations, you’ll need a load of 70% Isopropyl and some micropore tape. I would recommend using fresh needles for each bag rather than flame sterilisation to avoid contamination.

I’m sure you’ve seen some YouTube videos on this! Good luck!

Regarding what you were saying about Fly Agaric… here’s a good video about it. The first 10 mins is her wittering on about the history (eg the Berserkers), but then she gives a lot of info about how to use them and what to expect.

Also if you go back to post 20 in this thread, you’ll find a conversation with @elderweeder and @frankthetank about their experiences with it.

Not for me though, I’m on the shrooms for the medicinal rather than the recreational effect.

The effects are a bonus, a pleasant reward after the years of agonizing pain from the Cluster Headaches… one of the most painful conditions in medical science - worse than childbirth, kidney stones and even gunshots.

Some people succesfully use LSD for their Cluster Headaches, as it works in the same way as Psilocin - by binding to Serotonin receptors in the brain.

There is some research going into a drug called BOL-148 to treat Cluster Headache (or to give it the correct name - Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalagia) and some other vascular headaches.

It is basically the LSD molecule with a bromide added on it to make it ‘2 Bromo Lysergide’.

The added bromide prevents hallucinations and mind altering effects but still binds to the Serotonin receptors like regular LSD or Psilocin. Scientists created it to study serotonin receptors without the psychedelic trip.

If this became commercially available (and I hope it does), I’d kinda miss having the mushies… I like the mild warm buzz and the afterglow! As I’ve always maintained, I’m not looking to get completely mashed out… light visuals and trails are enough for me.

Plus I have to medicate fairly often, so seeing God twice a week would fuck me up quick time.

Talking of Fucks, my Jedi Mind Fucks are on their third flush.

Any old debris seemed to melt away as the substrate re-colonised on the surface and then started to show new pins.

I’ve done NO fanning, NO spraying or misting, in fact apart from a daily check, I haven’t opened the tub, and this time the fruits are on the top of the substrate, rather than on the side or even underneath!

If you zoom in, you’ll see there’s quite a bit of action going on, especially on the right side.

I’m expecting the JMF tub to fill out during the week and have the weekend to do some cropping and dehydration.

If everything goes well, there could be another sizable haul on the way!

Same with me mate. I vommed and shat every time in the early days. :face_vomiting: Then I found out about lemon tek… or more specifically, orange juice for 30-60 mins, and never felt queasy again.

@Kspun I briefly saw honey being mentioned somewhere. Now you’ve said it as well, I’m gonna have to find out more about it!

I also recommend a still air box. Definitely reduces chances of contamination and they’re only like $30. Just put everything you need inside before you zip it up and you can hit everything inside with iso

Absolutely. I love my still air box! It’s a pop up version, and can take longer to put away than the time it takes to set it up, load it with everything you need, and inoculate some bags!

I bought it because I contaminated my first bag of grain, and since I’ve been using it, I’ve had no contamination at all.

If you scroll back to post 40 in this thread, you’ll see mine.

OK so on Sunday afternoon I showed you the JMF tub in the early stages of the third flush.

This is how the tub looks today on Wednesday morning…

It’s amazing how things can change in just 3 days! The ‘action’ that I pointed out on the top right side on Sunday now looks like this….

The veil has broken on 2 or 3, including the biggest one in the corner, so I plucked the 5 largest ones and let the others develop some more.

These just need slicing in half and they can go in the food dehydrator….

I can see around 25 baby mushies growing so if they all develop to similar sized fruits as above, I should get another 300-350g on top of that 68g in the next few days!

It’s only been 10 days since the end of the 2nd flush where I harvested over 400g of fresh Jedis and it looks like I should get a similar amount again!

Imagine a cannabis plant producing a decent haul every 2 weeks… that would be amazing!

Please tune in soon for more updates!
